The new Merlin
So they've released the first photo of STARZ' Merlin (the lovely Joseph Fiennes)....
AND HE'S BALD
I feel very ambivalent towards this show, but I do love this description of Merlin:
"He is more of a warrior monk and less of a Zen Obi-Wan Gandalf. I think there’s a duality with Merlin … he fights fire with fire; he drives out a nail with another nail. He doesn’t turn the other cheek.
I don’t think Merlin is a villain, but he is far from driven snow. I think he is full of Machiavellian machinations."
I know the BBC won't really being show any gray areas when it comes to Merlin, but I do think our Merlin can also be quite ruthless, especially when he's killing to protect Arthur.
