You're kinda butch
Sam and Dean couldn't stop the hot gay vibes from flowing between them while checking into the hotel. (Why do they never check into a hotel/motel/inn that only has one-bed rooms left? Why, damnit!!!)
Dean was kinda butch, bossy and short... according to Sam.
Oh and Sam was WET.
*hearts episode*
Any episode that starts off with someone thinking the Winchester boys are engaging in the hot sweaty man love is a good episode in my books...and it only got better.
"You ain't gonna cheap out on me boy." Bwah!
"Dude, you're not poking her with a stick!"
"You could have gotten some MILF action." Oh Dean...
Sam the doll collector!!!!...and he enjoys dressing them in their little outfits. :D
Sam drunk. Sam hungover.
And looks like Sam is returning Dean's cheek grabbing from last week.
And awe Dean wrestling Sam into the bed (not like that, sadly) and then watching that ass his brother sleep.
That promise is going to bite Dean in the ass.
As to the actual plot of the episode... I don't know about you, but I always thought dolls were the height of creepiness.
That Maggie-like doll scared the fuck out of me.
Ok so they tried to pull a mini Sixth Sense fake-out...and if you didn't read the CW's wonderful spoilery summary of the ep then you may have been a bit surprised.
All in all I really enjoyed the episode. Great atmosphere. Good child actors. And solid enough plot. Top that off with WET!Sammy and assumed-to-be gay Winchesters and I'm a very happy camper.
I so need a "You're kinda butch" icon.
I guess the thing I liked the least about Playthings was the slow-mo when Sam saved Tyler.
Is there a written rule somewhere that says that all saving-someone-from-drowning scenes have to be filmed in slow-mo?
Not to be cruel, but I was really hoping for a twist by having Sam getting to Tyler too late and holding her dead body in his arms at the end.
And was that a great big anvil that fell on our heads at the end? One person (Rose/Dean?) doing everything for their beloved sibling. Keeping them from doing evil and in the end sacrificing themselves?
