Eunhyuk nodded and eyed around the classroom. All of the seats were taken except for the one at the back where….OH MY GOD. The only seat available was beside the one and only Lee Donghae…..
Eunhyuk’s eyes went as wide as a goldfish’s and his jaw dropped slightly. Crap. What the hell is he supposed to do now? He couldn’t just march up to him and said, ‘Hey, remember me? I’m the one who fought with you earlier. So can I sit beside you?’ That would be absurd, of course. He shuddered at the very thought.
‘Erm….I’m sorry, sir but where should I sit?’ Eunhyuk whispered quietly to Mr. Kibum.
The teacher smiled in response. ‘Well, as you can see, there’s only one seat left. You can just sit beside Lee Donghae. Don’t worry, he’s a nice boy. I’m sure you’ll be good friends.’ The teacher said, then continued to write some notes on the whiteboard.
Eunhyuk bit his bottom lip. Oh my God, what should I do? What should I do?
Eunhyuk noticed that since the first moment he stepped into the classroom, Donghae hasn’t even looked up from his book. He didn’t give a damn what was going on around him, instead was paying full attention to his work.
Eunhyuk put both of his hands in his pockets and walked slowly to the seat beside Donghae. Once he reached there, he cleared his throat to let Donghae know he was there. Donghae just ignored anything that was going on around him. He clearly doesn’t know that the guy he hated the most, Lee Hyukjae, was sitting beside him.
Eunhyuk grunted in dissastifaction. He hated being treated like a total nobody, He cleared his throat again, this time, even much more louder.
He waited for a response but instead, Donghae just turned his book to the next page.
‘EXCUSE ME, are you deaf or what?’ Eunhyuk finally snapped. He put his right hand over the book Donghae was reading to stop him from reading further.
Donghae was shocked by the actions of someone who had just sat beside him. Nobody had ever disturbed him, much less slammed his book and stopped him from reading.
‘What the-‘ he was ready to punch the guy’s face when his eyes met Eunhyuk’s.
‘You-you…’ Donghae blinked his eyes multiple times, refusing to believe what he was seeing. The rebellious new student, the annoying redhead, THE Lee Hyukjae was in his class, sitting right beside him.
Eunhyuk just smiled in return. He didn’t know what else to do to wipe off the awkwardness. Besides, he’s kind of scared Donghae might smack him or something if he pissed him off further.
‘Err…we meet again. Donghae, right? I’m Eunhyuk.’ Eunhyuk spread out his hand for a handshake. He figured, what the hell. Since he’s gonna be spending the rest of the year in his class sitting beside Donghae, he might as well be friends with him.
Donghae smirked and let out at sarcastic laugh.
‘And what makes you think I would want to talk to you, freak? Just stay away from me. I don’t tolerate newbies like you.’ He said in a deep tone then returned to read his book.
Eunhyuk stared at the other boy in disbelief. He couldn’t believe anybody could be as cold and arrogant as him. Finally, he decided to just let it be. It wasn’t worth of his time, anyway. Eunhyuk turned away and started to set up his own stuff on the table. He needed to pay attention to his studies, anyway.
Donghae was quite surprised when the other just kept quiet and didn’t snap back at him like he did previously in the hallway. Where did the snarky and annoying attitude of his go?
‘Why are you being quiet now? Have you finally realized who I am in this school?’ Donghae asked, with an evil smirk spread across his face.
‘So now you know you weren’t supposed to mess with me, huh? Are you afraid now, newbie?’ He kept on teasing Eunhyuk. He put his face nearer and nearer to Eunhyuk so that there as only a few inches of gap between them just to annoy him. Suddenly, Eunhyuk turned around and they met face-to-face. To his surprise, Eunhyuk blushed.
Eunhyuk was irritated with Donghae’s teasing and was about to give him a piece of his mind when he got the shock of his life. He turned around to say some things to Donghae but when he saw Donghae’s face RIGHT in front of him, he blushed like crazy. He did not expect that. It was the closest he had ever faces with anyone and he could see every single details of Donghae’s handsome face.
Donghae didn’t know how to react when Eunhyuk blushed, cause let’s face it, how often does a boy blush? He didn’t know that Eunhyuk was going to turn his face and now, they were so close that if other people saw it, people might think they were about to kiss.
He wanted to tease Eunhyuk again, about his blushing, but no words came out of his mouth as he was in awe. Seeing Eunhyuk’s face up close, he only realized that the redhead was GORGEOUS. His perfect jawline that compliments his face, his flawless smooth milky skin, pinkish plump lips that makes you wanna kiss it instantly and…OH MY GOD, LEE DONGHAE!!! What are you thinking? He’s a boy! Donghae mentally slapped himself.
After a moment of awkwardness, Eunhyuk was the first to spoke.
‘Uh..hello?’ He snapped his fingers in front of Donghae’s eyes. ‘What are you staring at?’
Donghae quickly stepped back to reality. He wiped off the blurred expression from his face and exchanged it with a smirk like a professional actor.
‘Well, obviously not YOU, of course. Why would I look at someone as ugly as you, anyway?’ he threw him an evil grin.
Eunhyuk glared at him. The image of Donghae’s handsome face floating in his mind just now completely disappeared. He couldn’t believe he had even considered Donghae as good-looking. That boy, Lee Donghae, was nothing but pure evil.
