Summary: They had broken up for five years while having feeling still dangling inside of them. For five long years Aiba had been trying to put the past behind but due to unexpected circumstances, they met again. This time, it's not only Sho that he has to face, but also the two other mysterious personalities inside of Sho. Worse, Aiba was caught up in the 'triangular' love between Sho and his devilish alternate personality, Mimura.
A/N: Actually this fanfic is inspired and adapted here and there from the drama Kill Me Heal Me. Please pardon some of the similarities. Though, it might not be that interesting since I am really quite an amateur in writing especially when it comes to this psychologically thingy. Please bear with the illogical part. Anyhow, I'm just gonna let my imagination run wild while shipping my fave Sakuraiba as I write this story.
I overlap the character of Mimura Takuya and Yoshimoto Koya (I chose to use Mimura Takuya's name though since I like him).
Aiba who was still in his uniform followed hesitantly behind the rushing doctor and nurses thinking whether he’s doing the right thing. Maybe he should just turn back. His steps halted. He looked at his shirt and his hand which was covered in blood. It’s been five years since they had not talk with each other. Why does it have to be this kind of meeting?
"Sir, the patient is in a critical condition. Although his injuries are not fatal, he's losing a lot of blood. Are you his friend? I would like to inform you that we will be performing a minor surgery as we need to prevent further blood lost. We tried calling his family but to no avail… Will you try to contact his family in the meantime?" The nurse said before rushing into the operating theater.
Aiba flopped to the floor. He wanted to cry, but no tears are coming out. Who to call? Sho had always been alone in Japan. His family is in the states. Jun. Matsumoto Jun. Aiba bloody hand trembled as he dialled for Jun's number. engage. Again and again it was engage. It was the final call that got through.
Jun's not in Japan but he's rushing to get back as fast as possible.
"Aiba-chan" the voices echoed through the empty hospital hall way. Nino and Ohno were running towards him, face painted with anxiety and concern. Looking at Aiba, Nino immediately leaned Aiba's head on his shoulder. Kindly, he patted Aiba's trembling body, "daijoubu….daijoubu…" The only words he could uttered in that situation.
"Aren't you going to eat that?" Nino said concerned, "You haven't eaten for today. You have to get some energy in that body of yours."
"Sou da…You're going to pass out. Aren't you working?"
"He's not in any condition to work." Nino turned back to Aiba. Aiba has been spacing out since yesterday. He won't sleep or eat.
"Ne, Nino…I thought I forgot about him already. I should hate him…I should be angry at him. Why…why am I like this?"
"Aiba-chan" both Nino and Ohno looked at each other unable to answer the sudden question.
As the evening sets in, Aiba was left alone with the unconcious Sho since Nino and Ohno had to work. Aiba stared at the pale face in front of him. It was fortunate that Sho doesn't suffer any fatal injuries, although even the minor injuries affect him to had bandege all over his body.
He wanted to stroke Sho's hair and tell him that it's ok, but he halted halfway. He shouldn't. Suddenly, Sho's eyelids moved. He slowly opened his eyes. Their eyes met. Aiba immediately called for the doctor.
"He's certainly regaining his conscious, but so far, he is still weak. He will be needing more rest."
As the doctor left, Aiba contemplated on what he should do. Other than opening his eyes, Sho hardly do anything. He's too weak to talk. Aiba wanted to leave, but it would be too cruel to leave a sick person behind.
"wa…wa…ter…" as if being ordered, he obediently pour some water in the glass before helping Sho to drink while supporting his body, "th..thanks.."
"You should get some rest. Jun and your family will be here tonight, so I will take my leave." His words sounded cold, as if pushing him away.
"D…don…don’t go…"
Aiba stood still. His hand paused at the door holder, "Sho-chan…please stop tormenting me…how could I forget you if you kept appearing in front of me…One moment you cruelly told me to forget you. One moment, you jumped out of a speeding car to chase me up…Now you told me not to go…Stop holding me back."
"Plea…please….I am sc…scared…"
Aiba legs stopped and he turned back to look. Never in his life has he heard that shaky voice from Sho. The voice that's filled with fear, fragility and sorrow. Sho's hand was shaking and his eyes showed everything Aiba never seen.
Aiba went closer letting Sho held his hand tightly. Aiba could easily pull his hand with that weak grip, but somehow deep inside he wanted to stay.
"Don't leave me alone…"
"Wh..what happen…"
"Don't leave me…stay…" Aiba quickly hugged Sho and let his head rest on his lap.
Aiba stroke his head while wondering what actually caused Sho to act like this. Slowly, he drifted into a deep sleep before he was awaken by the sound of trolley wheeled outside of the room. The door of the room suddenly opened revealing Jun and Sho's aunt who rushed towards Sho.
"You again! How many times have I told you to keep away from Sho!" Sho's aunt pushed him away, but Jun manage to held to him.
"Yamada-san…"
"I have heard enough about you, young man. I'm pretty sure you are the cause of this. Get the hell out of here!"
Aiba went out of the room slamming the door behind him. The tears suppressed suddenly bursted out like an explosion. The feeling held inside for so long came out as he cried quietly outside the door.
The sound of the alarm clock woke Aiba up from his slumber. His hand reached for the clock to turn it off before throwing it on the carpet. His head was throbbing with pain from all the drinking he had been doing for the past weeks. He opened his eyes trying to remember where he is.
The house reeks of beer. His eyes scanned the house to find cans and cans of empty beer scattered on the floor and the table. cups of empty ramen also filled the kitchen table.
His phone suddenly rang. He looked at it nonchalantly before ignoring it. He pulled himself up and supported himself with the furniture to balanced himself as he make his way to his room. He threw himself on the bed and covered himself in his blanket. He wanted to go back to sleep…waking up and remembering is painful. So painful he felt like dying.
The sound of the door being opened made him want to scrunched up and hide even more. He held his blanket tightly as his tears fall off. He's not in the mood to hear Nino's nagging. He's staying in this blanket if it's the last thing he'd do. The steps grew nearer.
"Get out Nino….I don't know how you get my key but I am not in the mood."
His blanket was pulled forcefully. He pulled it back refusing to meet with anyone. It went for a while until he reached his limit. He came out off the blanket, "I told you….." His words stopped at the sight of the person in front of him.
"W…what are you….what are you…"
Sho smirked at Aiba. He was different than before. The fragile Sho he saw last two weeks had gone. His eyes were different…more devious. More firm and superior looking. His ears were pierced. He knew Sho pierced once before but Sho had given up that image since he entered university.Sho was looking straight into his eyes like he wanted to devour Aiba. He inched closer. Aiba inched backward. He inched and he inched until Aiba reached the end of his bed. The devious looking Sho grabbed his hand. Aiba eyes grew wider. Without moving his sharp gaze on Aiba's eyes, he kissed Aiba's hand.
"I've found you…"
"Huh…" Aiba was still too stunned to move, "w…why are you like this? This is wrong." Aiba pushed him away only to be pulled back - this time closer - towards Sho.
"I've been looking for you for five years, do you think I'll let you go that easily." Without any warning, he pecked a kiss on the confused Aiba. Aiba turned crimson red.
"A…are you crazy! You will be engaged!" Aiba shouted, "What are you trying to do? Is this some kind of joke to you? Am I a joke?
Yesterday you were all fragile and helpless….today you're like being possessed by some devil. ..Why are…"
Before he could finish his sentence, Sho came closer to him. His face was just a few inch from Aiba's and he's got seriousness painted all over his face, "Look at these eyes and remember! These eyes that look at you with this gaze is only me. I am different from those other weaklings ."
"What do you mean those….weakling…."
"You are mine…and mine alone. Just love only me."
"I don…" Aiba stopped his words abruptly and pushed Sho away, running to the bathroom. His head went dizzy suddenly and his stomach felt funny. He supported himself at the toilet seat as he threw up everything. The hangover finally kicking it badly. All those cans of beer and the ramen came out. He tried to stand up after finished throwing up, but darkness hits him and without warning, he fell unconcious on Sho's arm.
"SHO-CHAN!" he jolted from his sleep. His body was wet from sweat. It was already dark when he woke up. There was no sign of Sho around.
"Thank god it was only a dream… But…" he touched his lips, "Why does it feel so real?"
"It is not a dream…" The familiar voice shook him. Sho was leaning on the bedroom door with his arm cross, smiling at him.
"aaaarghhhhh!"
"This guy really love to scream ain't he…" he sat next to Aiba and softly used his bare hand to wipe off Aiba's sweat.
"Sho-chan…"
Sho stopped his wiping, "Tsk…stop calling me Sho!"
"Eh?"
"Mimura Takuya…call me Takuya…"
"Takuya?! Nandayou? What in the world are you trying to pull?"
"I'd be pulling you closer if you were not this sick. Maybe I even pinned you down to make things more interesting."
"B…baka! Sho-chan! I don't know what you're…"
"I told you my name is not Sho-chan…Don't compare me with that weakling…" Sho's face turned serious.
"Weakling…what do you mean when you…say…weakling…"
"Mou, Sho's better at explaining these kind of things."
"What do you mean…Sho…You…"
"DA..KA..RA..I AM NOT…" he suddenly stopped and grabbed his head in pain, "No…no…not yet…arghh…."
"Daijoubu ka… Sho-chan…Sho-chan! Where's my phone when I need it…" Sho gripped his hand not letting him go as he fought with the pain in his head, "Is it the injuries? Sho-chan! Sho-chan! Let go of me so I can call for help."
All of his emotions gather in onto one: panic!
ARGHHHHHHHH
Sho's head felt like it was going to explode. Sho groaned loudly before passing out. Silence filled the room. Only the sound of the bustling streets from the outside could be heard. Aiba startled at the sudden movement of Sho's finger. He wanted to back away but his arm is still in Sho's grip. What exactly happened? So many speculations arised.
"W…Where am I?" Sho suddenly said as he raised his head. Aiba could clearly see the confusion on Sho's face. As their eyes met each other, Sho eyes widen, "Aiba-chan…what are you doing here?"
"Eh? This is my house…"Sho examined his surrounding, finally grasping the situation, "A…are you possessed or something?" Aiba was still too shock to move. His eyes darted left and right warily wondering if there's spirit in his house.
Sho sighed as he sat up straight next to Aiba. Aiba examined his face carefully. Now, this seems like the Sho he knew. The Sho he saw jumped out to a speeding car just to chase after him. The Sho he used to date.
"Are you ok?" Sho asked looking at Aiba with concern.
"Are you sure you shouldn't be asking yourself about that. You just changed instantly…You didn't come in bringing some kind of you-know-what right? I am weak at this scary things."
Sho let out a laugh, "No silly."
"But…but you were crying one moment, and then you turn into some devil barging into my house and back to who you are. What do you expect I would think?"
"D.I.D. Dissociative Identity Disorder."
"Ano…nan desu ka?"
"Multiple personality." his said hesitantly, "Did you say Devil? Was it Mimura Takuya?" Aiba nodded.
Sho pulled him towards him and hugged him tightly only to be pushed away by Aiba. Sho didn't give up and pulled him closer as Aiba struggled to get away from him. Despite his injuries, Sho strength was too much for Aiba to handle.
"Sorry…" That one word calmed Aiba down, "Sorry…" For a moment Aiba couldn't move at all. He was too stunned. Sorry for everything I've done that hurt you. I couldn't remember what I did….and if it's anything that hurts you I am sorry."
Aiba pulled away, "He didn't hurt me…What happened that cause…?"
"It's too long of a story to tell now..."
"Ne Sho-chan…why did you chase after me that day?" Aiba voice trembled.
"I…I don't know…I just wanted to see you. I wanted an explanation of…"
The sound of the doorbell caught their attention. Aiba walked up to the door to open it.
"Is Sho-kun here?" Jun entered asking frantically as he made his way in, "I can't find him anywhere!"
"I'm ok…" Sho appeared from Aiba's room, "I'm sorry for the trouble I've caused."
"Yamada-san was furious when she found out that you disappeared from the ward. She'd be even furious if she knew you were here. Moreover…." Jun hesitantly continued, "Ayame-chan had come to see you." The mention of Ayame's name turned the mood awkward. Sho realized Aiba's uncomfortable expression.
"You better leave…and Sho-chan, please return my keys."
"Keys?"
Sho realized the keys in his pocket and reluctantly returned it, "It's better if we didn't meet again." Aiba said as he sees them to the door.
