Ah, Music-festing

Well, I thought I'd post since I'm at Zoellner, being bored in the box office as usual. I'm working Musikfest right now, so literally, I'm babysitting the box office. It's actually not bad work because I get paid to sit here and play on the computer and talk with the rather cute guy who's selling tickets for Musikfest. But, none the less, it can get a little boring.

Soooo, without further ado, I will tell a little about what's been going on in my life. For the most part, work. The job's starting to settle in and feel comfortable, which is, I find, very cool. It's sort of nice, despite having to get up too early, to have some place to go every day and feel responsible for things. Rodale just keeps getting cooler to work for too. Espically my department. I got out at noon on Friday just because my boss said it was nice out and we all should leave early. How cool is that?

Otherwise, personal life isn't bad. I was in Chicago last week with my family. My sister came with and it was really nice to have her there. It felt great to be the four of us again. It hasn't happened in a long time, with her being so screwed up (those of you who know me a bit better know what I'm talking about, however it's too much to explain at the moment). So, all in all, even the 14 hour drive, was fun.

Recently, I've been dealing with wedding stuff for my friend Bree, from high school. (I'm in the wedding, for those who do not know). I find I don't mind too much, and in some ways, it's sort of fun to be involved. It's very weird to have such a close friend making such a hugh life change. I'm really happy for her though. The guy she's marrying is great and he's totally good for her.

So, the summer of weddings is shaping up. Sue and Joe Enama had their's back in July. It was beautiful. Very nicely done. Sue's dress was gorgeous, the reception was amazing. Ben Alexander got totally sloshed too, which was odd as I don't think I've ever seen him quite that tipsy. The only thing was the band, which was live, was so so. They sounded good, but they were very slow between takes. After each song, we sat down from dancing and waited 5 minutes for the next piece. But, even that didn't diminish the night. My friend Darryl came with. I find he is an excellent date for weddings. Likes to dance, critques the food, is a great conversationalist, and I'm never want for company.

Next week is Justin and Sarah's wedding. Should be interesting. I suspect it will be a lot of the same people that were at Sue and Joe's. I finally found a dress today, was almost late to work because of it. Brina and I searched all day yesterday. We had a great time shopping, but it was much more because of the socializing of the shopping rather than the actually purchasing. I think sometime this week, we're getting out nails done, so we'll totally be spanky for the wedding. I've never gotten my nails done before, I'm intrigued to see what it's like. I am, however, desperatelly trying to let them grow *do not bite nails, do not bite nails* It's so subconscoius that it's very frustrating.

Then Bree's wedding is in September to top it all off. I feel like in some ways it's totally going to be a total high school reunion thing. There are way to many people from high school being invited. I sort of want to see how some of them are doing, but for the most part I'm not sure I care. I feel bad, as is I should care about people I spent most of my adolescence with. I liked high school too. I got a lot out of it and had a number of really good friends. But, I guess there are enough people, even in a small school like mine, that I just wish a happy life and don't really care if I know the details. So, we'll see what the wedding brings.

Ok, I think that's enough catch-up for now. Time to go home, yah no intermission!
Hope everyone is well. Keep posting. I may not post reguraly, but I do keep up fairly well with reading everyone elses. I'm stealthy that way. ;)
