Currently in Singapore airport on a 3 hour stopover. Funny thing is I would not mind a longer stopover here as the airport has free internet, free movies and other stuff for transit passengers to do.
Was quite stressy before getting on plane, as
inquis will attest. Thanks and *hugs* for looking after me so well :)
Its usually a good thing to be sleepy before getting on long haul flights, except of course I found out if you are flying singapore airlines. Even economy passengers have their own little screen with movies and tv on demand, with a built in Nintendo game system. Some really good movies too - a total choice of sixty - saw Spiderman 2 - and attempted to do a Harry Potter Marathon (they had all three movies in the system) - only to nearly fall asleep during the first one. There was a couple of other movies I would not have minded seeing, which is a nice change from the normal dross that is inflight entertainment. I see my flight to chch is double coded with Air New Zealand, I hope I am still on singapore airlines - I want to play some Nintendo!
Another reason not to sleep on Singapore airlines - the legroom left a lot to be desired and the seats definitely felt like sadine cans with little space for arms on the armrests. Korean air had much more legroom but no way cool geeky video on demand.
About to go pick up a bottle of Bombay Sapphire Gin as its cheap here (about NZ $20 a bottle) to share with friends when I get home. hic!
