State of Me:
I'm...okay! March is a hard month for me, with the anniversary of my father's (relatively sudden) death. On top of that, I had some genuinely horrendous health this month - my first bout of flu since I was thirteen, followed by a sickness bug (one of the benefits of being a teacher) that left me feeling like I'd been mugged. I've also been struggling a LOT with my social anxiety this month which has made tagging/chatting difficult. Still! I think I am on top of it now! I am sorry if my rambling got on anyone's nerves. ALSO, please don't take it personally if I act like I'm worried I've upset you. I'm pretty much always worried I've upset everyone all the time. It's my state of being.

Beca has been falling apart because two of her people were taken as part of GAPs; she'll be better when they get home. In April, she'll be five months pregnant (she's due in the first couple of weeks of August). Her plot, right now, is basically her pregnancy and her people. Motherhood is going to be a real trip for Beca so I'm content for her to be fairly low-key until August.

Newt's had a long couple of weeks. Kavinsky was kidnapped as part of the GAPs plot and Newt...pretty much fell apart, completely. My reading of Newt is that he has lost SO MANY people that he loves, in such a short period of time, and he wasn't offended the opportunity to react to those loses and he hasn't managed to move past them. He just internalises like a pro. He's also got a canonical depression that I'd like to play with more IG. Newt takes the idea of being 'the glue' really seriously and he had spent a lot of time pulling himself back from the brink. I would like to do an ageplot with Newt eventually, because I have all of the lovely pictures of TBS in Love Actually to use. Kavinsky will be home soon and Newt will start to settle (those threads are already played/being pre-played). Newt just loves his little house with his boys and his garden. He's happy. He's just not sure he trusts it yet, especially with GAPs plot feeling SO reminiscent of W.I.C.K.E.D.

Has settled in really well. I am loving playing out his burgeoning relationship with Inej, working out how to manage Kaz's touch/anxiety issues in a way that doesn't feel rushed or like a magic fix. I was worried that I'd been playing Kaz too soft but what he's doing, I think, is adapting to the situation he finds himself in. He's started to make friends with a few people, particularly Rat and Krem and Alec. Which I love. The different dynamics are fascinating. Matthias arrived - Kaz doesn't have THAT much time for Matthias, as yet, but I'm looking forward to develop that - and Jesper being set to arrive is exciting because, other than Inej, I think Jesper is actually someone that Kaz might have called a friend back home. I had an opportunity to have him be Dirtyhands in Rat's last EP, and that's super fun, so I'll keep taking those opportunities. Kaz also needs to have a BIRTHDAY. As soon as I can get him to turn eighteen, I need to arrange ~shadowy finance~ so that he can open a Darrow branch of the Crow Club. Quite what that would look like in Darrow, I'm not sure but I will definitely have fun figuring it out!

Is still new but working out so far! Mostly, she's just been talking to a lot of boys. In canon, she promised her daughter that she wasn't going to run anymore so she's been trying to keep that promise, even though she's lost Ellis. In April, she'll be going on a couple of extremely successful dates with Krem and Sam Merlotte and HAN SOLO IS TAKING HER TO SEE THE MILLENIUM FALCON, SO THAT'S COOL. She's going to have to settle down eventually but, for now, she's enjoying kissing boys. She's got a job at the archive, so I need to do an EP linked to that. It'll be interesting when/if she decides to tell the truth about herself to someone. Basically, I love her.
My queue is a clusterfuck. Basically. I've got John Constantine on reserve and he's COMING. FINALLY. I also really love Lydia Bramwell but am unsure whether I actually want to commit to fandom in that way XD Also, I keep falling in love with teenage boys in books. Right now, if I app anyone, it would be Jack Vincent from "Night Owls" who is a renegade graffiti artist who is sort of a buddhist and also has REALLY BEAUTIFUL EYELASHES OKAY. Also, with Tony talking about apping Ollie, I'm seriously considering bringing Connor back (I wrote myself into a corner with him the first time around and I have a lot of unresolved feelings). I would need to figure out how that would happen.
