SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...
We bring Justin over to record drum tracks for addiction. Everything is going fine; he rocks my balls off -- we're getting good a sound off his kit, but he keeps going off tempo on the second chorus. After much pain and tears we find out that it's because my synth chorus stabs on that part were off; and because of me, everything else was off. I also learned something new: how to work the metronome on Cubase! this is good because we can now keep everything on beat with no mistake, instead of having to guess about it when we lay down the drum track and hope for the best.
Despite the problems, I'm optimistic about the recording, I have re-recorded parts of addiction; will re-record the bass and Brandy's vox tomorrow and I can edit Justin's drums to get on beat -- I hope. Either way, I'm still upset that we aren't as close to done as i thought we were. I'm so damn sick of this song, but I can't wait until it's done so we can post it on the web and move onto Phase 7.
Once we have Rob back in town, I need to re-record the lead and rhythms -- maybe just rhythms, I got the leads sounding the way i wanted 'em, but not sure if they'll sync up to the newest (hopefully last) version of Addiction. I'll find out tomorrow. The problem with the rhythm guitars is that they sound too fuzzy... we need a clearer distortion.
