I smell so bad

Went to Nik's birthday party for a couple of hours tonight. Lots of alcohol about and lots of smoke (hence the smell). It was pretty fun and it was a good way to see Nik and Allie. I had a good laugh with all the Gurneys (sooo many Gurneys) and Allie and I seemed to be on much the same wavelength tonight, which was cool.

By the way, sorry I forgot to save your seats, guys; the natural instinct to follow those familiar to me just took over.

This week at work has been good, because I have become inexplicably more efficient at my job than I was last week. I seem to have found my zone and am now THE MAN at processing and rejecting (which I have to do an inordinate amount of) cash apps.

Jamal went off to play football with some of the team yesterday, so I went to lunch with Iain and Paul, who are basically the head honchos in my team (Paul being the team leader and Iain acting as such during Paul's recent holiday). Gettin' in with the big boys, I am.

Last weekend was awesome. On Friday I got off the train back from work at the Port, met up with Loli, got dinner at the chippy and went to St John's for the gig. It was really great seeing everyone again. I had so much fun dancing with Loli; falling all over the place in a linked line with Tom, Leonard, Doug, Chris, etc; foolishly attempting conversation while the bands played; and whooping at fucking everything. Two quid for all that? Fuck, aye, money's worth and a half.

On the Saturday Jay came over and we had a blast playing Final Fantasy XII and Wii Sports. We actually spent most of the time taking turns on the single player mode on Wii Sports because it wasn't until he told me about it that I discovered that there was, indeed, a single player mode. We both got our Skill Levels up nicely and had a most enjoyable time doing so. A chicken supper, a very productive driving lesson, a new FF and Jay -- that was very good day.

The Sunday I spent down at Loli's, telling her how damned good the previous day had been and conversing about the events of Friday night. We had a good time together, as always. It was a nice, calm end to an incredible weekend.

The supervisors at my work are chasing everyone up on overtime, so I'll probably be doing more of that than is healthy next week, including Saturday; Sunday will now officially be my only day of freedom, and it has been booked well in advance by Jay for next week. Tomorrow is a day for Loli. Then it's just work, work, work in between. Still, monies.
