SOAP - John 13:10
Jesus said to him, "He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you."
Feet stink. Sometimes from working lots. Sometimes from being in the dirt. If you don't clean your feet, you'll track dirt all over the house, and bring your stench with you. The cure? To put your feet UP for awhile; clean them, and stay off of them for a short time.
I can't let work affect ministry or my personal walk with God. Not just that, but I need to "keep myself unstained by the world", not gaining the mindsets and attitudes of those who do not follow Jesus and His ways, so that I don't bring those with me back into this house.
LORD, thank You for helping me to learn. Please Lord clean my feet! Help me be pure and righteous before You, and to follow Your example and help clean the feet of those others who are new to Your kingdom or have simply become so dirty they forgot what it was like to be clean. Let Your Spirit be strong about me that people would turn to You because of Your work and presence in my life, and let them call on the mighty name of JESUS, at which every knee must bow, proclaiming Him Lord, and asking Him to enter hearts and change lives, to the glory of God the Father.
