So, a while back I had the semi-random observation from someone I'd just met that I'd make a hot Velma. *g* Of course I had to follow that suggestion, and I spend the last couple of weeks hunting for just the right sweater to match the look. After way more time in clothing stores than I really like to spend, I settled on one and called it good. The costume went over fantastically well, which left me extremely happy.
Went to a They Might Be Giants concert at noon on Saturday. It was great fun, and I got to hear a few of their songs that I already knew. It turned out to be a kids' show, but it was still awesome and I rather enjoyed the Avatars of They. Confetti and geeky music and friends and good times and rapalicious pricing on the food and drinks there. $3.70 for a soda? o-8 The House of Blues had a great atmosphere, too, and I enjoyed wandering through the venue afterwards taking in the decor and the feel of the place. (-:
Had a lot of fun overall at the Halloween party. Finally got to play the Totally Renamed Spy Game. Also played Jenga for the first time - managed to lose one game and do fairly well on the next. *g* We were definitely making things harder on each other than we had to in the second game. We finally settled into Apples to Apples, a game I absolutely adore and did fairly well at. Got to meet and rib at a couple of new people, food was excellent and conversation was fun. There were a few other people in costume, which was fun to see and enjoy.
Ended the day at Jerry's, sitting and chatting until I decided to head to bed. I spent most of Sunday sleeping and oh, does my body appreciate it.
Overall, a great Halloween. I do love the whole costume thing and seeing people dress up. Christmas may have my favorite holiday tradition (the Christmas tree!), but Halloween is my favorite holiday itself. (-: <3
