In Super Bowl victory fashion, Obama already has victory t-shirts for sale.  That's kindof funny.

Alright, I know some people aren't going to care to hear me say this but, regardless of the fact that I disagree with Obama politically on...a lot.  And regardless of how unfair and distasteful the implication that to vote against him somehow indicates ( Read more... )

Conservatives are going to have to work to win people's minds, not simply rally our own base.

I've had this talk with my kids (and will again, I'm sure). It is not good enough to hope for poor Democrat turnout. We must actually convert people to the right way of thinking, which is probably a multi-generational task.

Violet, especially, is taking Obama's victory very hard.

Well, I don't recall taking Clinton's victories too hard in high school, though I was pretty disappointed. I think even then I tended to be more realistic and optimistic in light of such things than a lot of people in my family. I don't really remember the 80s politics, 1988 was the first election I recall, and us voting for Bush I. From 6 to 12th grade I had a Democratic president, so I'm not unfamiliar with the "other guys" being in power.
