i don't remember much about httg and yeah no, they don't hvae to be sherlock-centric i don't care, but if i can't do it because i don't know the fanodm/chars well enough i can't do it
so sherlock and john on atlantis
john did a stint -- man the timelines don't work out so it's like, john used to be at atlantis. he was one of the british army folks stationed there, and of course sherlock doesn't know because why would that even be possible it makes no sense
and so people start dying, getting drained by the wraith and stuff and john recognizes it and sherlock recognizes that john recognizes it
and mycroft doesn't know about atlantis exactly but he has some idea about it, about the stuff the americans do in the states and the hidden programs that not even he really knows about
and the dying by the wraith happens, and atlantis is in the sf bay (lololol) as of the end of the series, and todd (i like todd) is still on the
oh god i'm watching breaking bad and they're becoming drug kingpins and tha'ts so fucking cool
and todd is still on the city and there's also mysterious other wraiths going around eating things and trying to get back to the pegasus galaxy (think the vegas au)
and john gets eventually tapped -- contacted by sheppard, who is somewhat older now and whatever, and he and rodney and the old crew and the guys in the mountain (colorado springs) and the SGC, they're slowly retapping all the people who have the gene therapy and have proven their courage
and john (watson)'s shoulder is from a wraith handbite, and let's go with the whole "he lost a few years to a wraith" so he's actually about sherlock's age, maybe a touch younger (but he's seen ~more~)
and sherlock figures out some parts of it, parts about the confidential stuff, and things that are secret and that john has worked with americans (maybe an earlier scene where he uses some lolarious slang -- american slang, or pegasus slang, or something like that)
(hahahah this guy's nickname is badger, that's awesome)
and they meet sheppard and stuff, and mycroft figures it out by prying, while john convinces them to bring sherlock into the investigation -- because "we need a detective, people are dying, this isn't something for a bunch of soldiers and scientists and whatever to try and figure otu"
and they do and they go on an adventure and sherlock gets ot see john be badass and realizes that this is why john doesn't talk about his deployment, because he was in afghanistan for 3-4 years after shooting space vampires and compared to them humans aren't that big a deal
and maybe they bring teyla back to help her track the wraith because she's kinda wraith queeny, and john was never on SGA-1 -- he was probably SGA5 or 6, but he still remembers stuff like, how to take care of your scientist if you don't want to be blown up by ancient hazmat procedures
which is how he's so good at caring for sherlock -- because sometimes he just shows up with a powerbar (or other generic granola bar) and drops it on sherlock's keyboard when he's working and sherlock takes it and ignores it but when he's hungry he tends to find one in his pocket, and he'd thought it'd been him training john, but really it'd been rodney mckay and parrish and all of them training him
also
"yeah, well, you won't actually turn off my hot water if i cross you"
and it's not 3 continents watson (which he did also, in afghanistan, but no one nicknames him that), but he does have a bit of a reputation -- sheppard might be seductive and everyone wants to do him, but also i mean, hey, you get leave and it's liek "fuck yeah fuck yeah let's go to one of the pleasure planets and chill and it'll be rad" and lots of hilarious pegasus antics
(man he's totally they're all being drug kingpins, that's pretty cool i want to watch this, it's badass)
ummmm
where was i?
so yeah they do that and sherlock's just like increasingly impressed and shit, and it's cool, and john does some badass things and maybe saves sherlock from the wraith or something if they eventually find the one (like really base it off of the vegas ep kinda)
and maybe previous scenes have things like, john's security clearance helps them solve a crime before or something -- like it's some political thing and sherlock doesn't want to go to mycroft, and it's like, "oh, it's with the americans??? here i'll take care of it and make a couple calls" and he gets it
because they let him keep his clearance, just in case, because in case they need to tap him later for more atlantis stuff they want him on their good side, basically
(oh shit this guy is totally hard and brutal, he's supposed to be the good guy whelp. man that's kinda dangerous -- too greedy, bro bro, be careful be careful why you so mean D: D: D: why are you like expecting him to be such a dangerous jerkface. the sidekick is the one who's all levelheaded, whlie the bossman's being fucking retarded)
and i dunno something like that i guess, mostly about john being bamf and sherlock swooning over how cool he is.
and also a side plot about "hay wraiths are scary" and a cameo by todd because i like todd
Hey, if I ever get back into fan-fic writing, can i borrow this promt and brain storming session? I used to love SGA (and have some fics to my name) but this has started my brain at working again!

Also, E, If I could somehow borrow your muse for even half an hour I'd be a much better writer!
