voting

As many of you know tomorrow is the NC Primary and I will get to vote in it and hopefully my vote will make a difference. I did some research on the smaller offices candidates and I know who I want to vote for as well as the bigger offices. Now NC is a party line state so I am voting Democrat. I am a registered Democrat and although that doesn't mean I will vote for the Democrats in November this is where all of the good races are. A certain someone has told me that I should always vote for the best candidate all of the time, so I should switch parties for these primaries. I completely disagree with this for the primaries because I don't want another presidential election where we are left wondering which of two candidates will make a better ass of themselves in the White House! I'm sorry but I didn't like either candidate in the last presidential election and I know many people who felt the same. This time I think we have three great candidates who all have their weaknesses and strengths. I would however like to make sure that we have the two strongest candidates left standing so they can make each other better for it and we will get at least someone that I like.
So basically it is very obvious to any North Carolinian that there are two strong Democrats for Presidential primaries, two strong candidates for the Gubernatorial race and both races only have one strong Republican standout. I wish this person wouldn't assume that I have no idea what's going on and tell me what to do. I wish this person would realize that my opinions matter as much as theirs and I believe in helping the underdog and small businesses. I believe in not f&*$ing up the environment and helping out other countries. I believe in educating the less fortunate and helping those that just need another hand to help, even at my expense. And I believe that these things make me a Democrat. And those "damn, bleeding heart liberals" are what make this country great so I would like to consider myself one of them and thanks to those of you out there who are also "damn, bleeding heart liberals".
