Tagged! 7 Lines from the 7th page
I was tagged by two LJ friends, yohkobennington and tcs1121 for the 7 and 7 meme. Since this meme has been around for a few days, there is no one else to tag, though :( My best friend disneymagics has been tagged as well but I'm double-tagging you, baby! :D
So, wips are legions on my laptops, let me choose... Ah. Yes. This story, called the Masquerade Man, was supposed to be my entry for this year's big bang, but I couldn't finish it because of RL and had to go with another story. Still, I really hope I will find the time to finish this creepy story, inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's Nyarlathotep. In it, Jensen is a comic book artist, and Jared is a college teacher. I'm affraid the 7th page isn't exactly thrilling but hey, those are the rules. This is a conversation between Jared -first to speak- and Jensen.
“Well, we’re starting to work on horror and fantastic short stories this week, and I thought it would be fun to give them an illustration and ask them to write a short story inspired by it.”
“You want me to draw what… some kind of monster?”
Jared shrugs. “Not necessarily. It doesn’t have to be elaborated, you know… just, something that gives an eerie, creepy sensation.”
Jensen frowns. Horror isn’t his speciality, far from it. He tends to stay away from it, in all its art forms, movies or books or paintings. He can’t even understand why.
