I was pretty sick on the drive back home. I hardly had any sleep on Friday night, despite feeling sick and going to bed early. I'm very exhausted. Mission has been great, but it's taking a lot of energy. Thankfully, no energy to be sad, so hurrah! I'm having a lot of fun and it's excellent being with good friends and my family. I'm getting on with everyone on team, which is a real blessing - even with people I thought I'd have some friction with.

Carnarvon has been very good for me. It's good to be with my parents, with my friends, serving God on this mission, and out of Perth.

My need to talk about the breakup has mostly gone. I think I've processed it as much as I'm going to for it to be healthy (with the odd exception every now and then), and now it just kinda hurts to think about it and I much prefer being happy and not hurting ( Read more... )

So on Wednesday, I made it as far as Geraldton before my car broke down. Thank God it didn't break down till then :D. I actually made it all the way to the Anglican Cathedral. The first mechanic I called was booked up till mid next week, but he gave me some number of other mechanics I could call. The next one I called could look at my car ( Read more... )

It's been good to be on this Carnarvon Family Mission thing when I received the news from CMS. It's been very distracting for me, which is good. Um... the mission did go well, but I was pretty buggered from all the work last night. Everyone else went home this morning on the minibus. I'm sticking around for a bit longer. Well it's official now. CMS told me that they don't want to send me as a missionary this year and now TEAM Japan have officially agreed with them. Dad says there are a couple of other less official options we could try to pursue... but maybe God's closing the door for this year and that makes me a rather upset.
