Blarg, I feel a little like suck. It's my birthday and I think I"m coming down with strep. I've got a fever so I"m calling to see if there are any other symptoms I can check for to make sure i"m not infected. Also, I've decided that I'm going to get a paraguard IUD. Four years on FAM with one mess up was pretty good, but I'd like not to have to go through something that exhausting. (Not the procedure, the fundraising and stress) Our PP says I have low enough income to just do it on a donation basis. So I'm going to throw them like 150$ and have one put in after my checkup. I've really done a lot of reading and it seems about right for me. I don't want kids till I"m done with grad school (4-6 years maybe more) and hormones seriously don't agree with me. It's low maintenance and there aren't any recurring charges. I don't have preexisting conditions that would cause complications, and I think that I just want to not have to worry anymore. I talked to some of the people over in iud_divas and they put a few of my concerns at rest. I spent about 4 hours just reading up on it last night and I think I"m pretty sure that this is what I want to do. I'm actually kind of excited, no more condoms (I'm sensitive to latex and the polyurethane ones are damned expensive) and no stupid hormones. I guess I"ll just see how it works out.
