That Blank Canvas of the New Year

Jan 03, 2010 13:28

New Year's Greetings,

I keep thinking I need to say something on my journal about the year ahead. But the only resolution I make is to be more gentle with myself. Makes everything go so much smoother.

I have a few ideas of things I might work on this year, but I will spare you the boredom of that. (You're welcome.)

I think what I want to do is share something with you. There is a blog that I enjoy following. It probably won't be for you. It's probably like Hendrick's Gin, "it's not for everyone". Her blog at times sort of touches my soul. Which is why I feel compelled to share.

This blog is about an American woman in her early 50's, married to a Frenchman, and has two teenage kids. She lives in the south of France. She takes amazing photographs and has a beautiful take on life.

Here's the link to her New Year's post. http://willows95988.typepad.com/tongue_cheek/2010/01/i-promise-to-bake-more-cakes.html

I hope everyone is starting their New Year with excitement of the blank canvas in front of them. I hope it proves to be colorful and a beautiful representation of your 2010.

Best Wishes for the New Year!

What do you hope for the New Year?
