So I haven't updated this thing since February...and even that was a cop-out. So what? You wanna make a big deal out of it?

Here's a quick update of my life for those of you that care:
- I will be attending Simmons College in Boston for a two-year masters program to be a school library teacher. It's happening. I am so excited. I may stay in Massachusetts forever.
- I'm going to Paris for the first time ever the first week of June, followed by nine more days in London/ the UK. We're staying in hostels and being generally thrifty.  Theatre excursions while we're in London include: Equus (Harry Potter-riffic), We Will Rock You (for the third time!), Othello (at the Globe), A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Macbeth (both at the Regent's Park open air theatre) . The very fact that I'm making this trip with one of my best friends whom I never get to see anymore makes this all doubly amazing.
- After I get back from Europe I'm starting a paid internship in creative executive communications where I'll be making just under $800 a week, which is far and away the most money I've ever been able to earn for anything. Plus, the internship looks very cushy and useful, so the work itself should be fun.
- I graduate in less than a month. This is madness.

In fun news:
- I went to Cancun for Spring Break with three of my girlfriends whom I've known since freshman/sophomore year. It was something else. I've never understood the Las Vegas ads that say "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." I always thought to myself, "What the HELL are people doing in Vegas, anyway?!" That said, what happens in Cancun, stays in Cancun. Only sort of, though. (c:
Seriously, we got a litte nutty, made fun of a lot of slutty teenagers who couldn't hold their liquor, got badly sunburned, and taught some very nice Welsh boys how to play volleyball and that not all Americans are loud and obnoxious. Aside from getting stranded in Florida for a weekend on our return trip because of inclement weather in the north east (We land in Miami after a disastrous first-leg of out trip to hear "All flights to Boston, New York, and Philadelphia have been canceled. If you are flying to one of these cities and come to the front desk to check your bags, we will reject you.") the trip was a resounding success of a senior-year Spring Break.
- A week after returning from Cancun I went to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands for my surrogate "cousin's" wedding. My parents, my sister, and many of our family friends who still live in Minnesota were there, so it was nice to see everybody again. We drank a lot of rum, lazed on the beach, drove through the rainforest, witnessed beer-drinking pigs, and owned karaoke night. I also confronted my crippling fear of fish by attempting to snorkel for the first time in five years. I didn't last long, but hey, at least I tried, right?
- I'm going to Coachella next weekend. Oh my goodness, I am so freaking excited.
- My parents bought a house in Franklin, MA, and have been living here since early February. I do go home a lot, which lowers my stress level considerably. It's a killer house, too; a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired deck house. If you're in Massachusetts and want to come visit, give me a holler.
- I took my folks to a live-taping of This American Life back in February, and I think I've managed to get them relatively hooked, which makes me happy because I'm a nerd like that.
- I saw Hot Fuzz this weekend and it was terrific. The New Season of Doctor Who = fantastic. Also, I finally got my hands on a real DVD of QI: Quite Interesting. Seriously though, although there are certainly things I don't like about the UK, I will always love the majority of British comedies and BBC TV programming.
- Curling season may be over, but the new BU team is a success. I'm still going to curl with them next year, and also intend on joining a more constant league in the Fall.

I think that's all the really important stuff. I'm graduating and I have direction in my life...really can't ask for more than that. So...yeah. Things are good. I hope all of you are doing well!
