First there was an earthquake. Then there was Hurricane Irene. Now there is massive flooding from Tropical Storm Lee. And now, in light of the 10th anniversary of September 11 this Sunday, there is a terror threat.

I guess there’s nothing like starting the academic year off with lots of dramatic events…

Washington, DC is currently taking a beating from a blizzard this weekend. It’s been snowing heavily for over 24 hours now and it is predicted to continue snowing for at least another 12 hours. Today, January 20, 2009, was the day that Barack Obama was inaugurated as the 44th president of the United States of America. I was lucky enough to be able to attend his inauguration today, and it was absolutely amazing.
