We're Onto Them

Why don't guys get that we're smarter than the tricks they try to play? A guy will say something that he honestly suggests in a semi-joking fashion to get our reaction to it. If he doesn't get the reaction he wants/he offends us with it, he'll then switch and say that he was just joking with it, so that way we won't think anything of it. The problem arises in that we do know what the hell is going on, and so him saying he was "jk" does nothing. Then we're trapped in that if we take it seriously, he thinks we overreact, are too bitchy, need to lighten up, etc, or we let him get away with it.

I say stop letting them get away.
