Late Late Late as usual
So much for being pleased with the movers. The men were nice but boy did they do a shitty job of taping boxes. Then they stickered some but did not label them with our last name and account number OR they labeled the boxes and forget to place a sticker on them documenting the item number. The inventory sheet is out of wack. I've counted the numbered boxes in the house and that figures does not match the sheet. WTF....it really is not that difficult. Why don't people take pride in their work...everyone benefits when you do.....the workers, the company, the customer, I mean DAMN!!!
I have snapped a shot from all angles of our furniture and of the poor packing job as executed by the packers. It is now 10:15 am and we were told to expect the driver at 8 am. With my luck they won't arrive until about 11 am and then want to take a damn lunch break immediately at noon.
I've done my very best to rectify visible problems with my own handy tape gun (they did not even have the proper supplies for packing). They used their hands to rip the tape off when closing the boxes and that is why the ends are all twisted up in balls that easily catch onto anything that comes into contact with it. I let them borrow black markers to label everything and then someone goes and leaves it in a car after being dropped off on Day 2.
I think I am so frustrated at the situation because it could all have been easily avoided. It's such a shame really.
Did I mention earlier that someone wrote on our brand new ottoman with a permanent marker? Best believe that I called their office to complain and today the driver is suppose to document this on the inventory list for our furniture. All of the tvs are on so the driver cannot claim that he was unaware of their working condition. In the event that they are broken when delivered to us I don't want to have to fight for a claim based on false facts.
Why in the hell did the packer neglect to count my CDs? I counted them myself and documented the number but he was supposed to do that when packing them and label the box accordingly. They Mofos are a trip.
