Almost ruined my locs yesterday trying to moisturize them with a homemade recipe found online consisting of banana, egg, and olive oil. My hair was feeling soft once I was finished but I had to spend five hours picking out banana pulp from my locs. I was so worried about having to cut them off and start the locking process over again that I refused to give up. I showered, washed over and over, rinsed, broke about three combs trying to tease out the banana from my roots and loc ends. It was horrific but when my husband came home he was a big help and more than happy to do what it took in effort to keep my from cutting off my hair. He loves my locs almost as much as I so needless to say I felt blessed and very thankful that we managed to clean it out. I will continue to wash my hair every other day for about a week just to be sure.
I finally found Hairobics products online and placed an order (two of all products that I use) LOL. I had tried many times in vain to contact the actual distributor but the web-site is a flop, the 800# disconnected and when I called the California line I had to leave a message. Luckily a fellow member of my lovinlocs yahoo group recommended another sight that sold what I needed.

Starting my locs was a big deal and I take so much pride in caring for them. Never again will I allow myself to run out of conditioner and so forth. With the move to Texas and trying to adjust to married life I have had other things at the top of my priority list but I cannot neglect the hair. If I want it to flourish I must nurture it. SMILE

That of course can be said for all things!!

Today is a good day because it marks the beginning for a three day weekend for me and the Mister. He just called and is on his way home. I better get off of here so I can prepare for his homecoming (wink) LOL
