Chapter Seven

“You must’ve had a pretty wild date with Yoochun on Saturday because you haven’t spoken a word about it since” Yunho told Junsu on their way to class.

“I should say the same about you. You never told me you were spending the night at JaeJoong’s. The two of you seem to be moving pretty fast, considering you’ve only met twice for the whole school year.”

Yunho scratched the back of his neck, “We’ve met more than twice actually.”

Junsu raised an eyebrow at him. “Really, how many things are hiding from me? I’m supposed to be you’re best friend, aren’t I?”

“You are but … you want to know about my love life as well?”

“Tell me yours and I’ll tell you mine.”

“Fine, do you remember the first time we met JaeJoong?”

Junsu nodded his head, “not to be rude or anything but he kinda looks like a delinquent.”

“Hey, that's only because of the clothes he wears, it doesn’t mean he’s a bad person. Anyways, he actually invited me over to his house that same day in the bathroom.”

“Really?” Junsu asked completely immersed in what he was going to say next, “so what did you guys do that night?”

“Well, you know … we talked and stuff …”

“And?” he prompted.

“And … it kinda led to something we hadn’t really planned on doing … so before we got far he suggested I call my parents and tell them I won’t be coming home that night.”

“Right, and talking led to all that?” he said in disbelief.

“Well ok, maybe we did things other than talking.”

“Like what?” he grinned.

Yunho blushed, “That’s as far as I’m going in the story” he stated. “Now let’s hear about you two on Saturday. I’m so curious to know.”

“There’s not much to tell really just, from 7 to 8:30 we were at dinner ...”

“And then?”

“Then he umm, took me for a night swim downtown.”

“And you actually swum with him?”

“Well, yeah" he murmured, "but then I got sick from the cold so we had to cut it short and he took me home.”

“You got sick? How lame.”

“Hey, it was a little chilly out and he pushed me in the pool first” he defended.

“Did you kiss?”

“No” he turned bright red.

“Were you close to?”

“What’s with all these questions?” Junsu replied refusing to answer him. “That’s all we did and that was that.”

“What are you guys talking about?” Yoochun came up from behind Junsu and put his arm over his shoulders.

“Nothing” Junsu slammed his locker shut.

“Great, then can I talk to you for a minute?” he asked and without waiting for Junsu to reply he pulled him into one of the empty classrooms.

“So” Junsu shifted awkwardly from foot to foot, “what do you want to talk to me about?”

“I just wanted to know if you’re feeling any better.”

“Oh, that” he blushed from embarrassment, “yeah, I’m feeling a whole lot better now.”

“That’s good.”

They stood apart from each and Yoochun couldn’t help but take quickly glances at him. He had to admit he was kind of disappointed that night when he missed his chance to touch those lips of his, but he was also grateful that Junsu at least went along with him on the date.

“So …” he hesitated for a moment, “where do we stand?”

“I’m not sure” Junsu mumbled.

“Do … do you like me now?” Yoochun asked nervously.

‘Do I?’ Junsu thought. He hadn’t really meant for anything to happen on Saturday, but ever since then he couldn’t stop thinking about what would’ve happened if they did kiss that night? Would it symbolize that they were already together, or would it mean nothing to him at all? Every time Junsu recalled that moment, his whole body would feel on fire and his stomach would do flips wildly. He would always sweat and get nervous whenever Yoochun was around, but did that actually mean he was starting to like him?

“You know what … I think … I'm not sure” Junsu mumbled and looked down on the floor.

“Do you want to put it to the test then?”

“How?”

“We could … maybe finish where we left off on Saturday?” he offered shyly.

Junsu felt his body becoming hot all over again. “Can it really tell if I do like you?”

“I think so.”

‘Might as well get this over with’ Junsu thought before moving closer to Yoochun.

“Then let’s do it.”

Yoochun held Junsu’s waist and pulled him closer to him. Junsu closed his eyes and tilted his head slightly to the left, and when he felt it was time, he carefully pressed his lips against Yoochun’s. Their kiss was a gentle, lingering touch of the lips, a hesitation on both parts as they touched, as if both are taking the time to organize their feelings for each other. Yoochun ran his hands around his hips and moved up and down his spine. They switched their head positions, not parting their lips away from the other even for a second.

He panted heavily, they both did as they separated for air, and Junsu was ready to get up and leave from embarrassment. He couldn’t believe what Yoochun said was right. Kissing can really tell if you like someone or not, and he didn’t have to rethink his feelings twice.

“So … how do you feel?”

“I … I like you Yoochun."

Yoochun dove in for another kiss and Junsu let it last longer then their first one. They’re moment was shattered when two figures walked in on them.

“Oh, this is just great. I wish I had my camera” Yunho clapped.

They parted quickly and Junsu blushed, “shut up!”

“You know, I always knew Junsu liked to play hard to get” JaeJoong commented. “I mean he waited all this time just so that he can be alone and make out with my best friend.”

“Hey, I didn’t do it on purpose!”

Yunho chuckled, “sure you didn’t.”

“You are so dead when we get home.”

Yunho chuckled again, “you won’t be seeing me at home today.”

“Why … oh I forgot, you came into the picture” he pointed to JaeJoong.

“It’s not my fault Yunho’s so into me.”

“You sure it’s not the other way around?” Junsu grinned at him.

JaeJoong glared at Yunho, “you told him?!”

“No, I swear I didn’t.”

“Really?” he crossed his arms. “How much do you know?” he turned to Junsu.

He chuckled, “not much, he refused to go into details.”

JaeJoong glared at Yunho again. “And what details might that be?”

“I - I didn’t … Junsu I’m so gonna kill you.”

“Not before I kill you first” JaeJoong threatened, dragging him out the room.

Yoochun chuckled, “you’re so evil.”

“Let’s just say, the two of us are even now. Come’ on, let’s go.”

Junsu walked ahead of Yoochun and he gently grabbed a hold of his hand so they both walked together side by side. Junsu blushed and looked down.

‘Ugh, what’s wrong with me? Why am I acting all giddy with Yoochun? Slow down boy, it hasn’t even been five minutes yet and you already forgot when to breathe!’

While they were walking down the clustered hallways, someone bumped into Junsu and he stumbled backwards and fell.

‘As if this didn’t happen to me one too many times this year already’ he thought.

“Watch where you’re going will you?!” the guy snapped at Junsu who was lying on the floor propped up using his elbows.

“I … I -“

“Why don’t you watch where you’re going next time and stop knocking people over with you’re huge boulder figure?” Yoochun yelled at him.

“What did you say?” he said grabbing Yoochun by the collar of his shirt ready to throw a punch at him any minute.

Junsu quickly got up and pushed the two apart.

“Forget about it Yoochun, let’s just go to class” he tried convincing him.

“No way, I’m not gonna let this punk get away with this!” Yoochun said breaking free from Junsu’s grasp and marching towards the bigger boy, but Junsu held him back again.

“Yoochun please, he didn’t hurt me so let’s just go. Don’t cause a scene or else we might get suspended, is that what you want?”

Yoochun looked at him, at his desperate eyes that told him to just drop the fight he was about to start.

“Fine” he mumbled.

He then surprised Junsu by wrapping his arms around his waist and pulling him closer to his hip. They walked away from the crowd that had gathered around the three of them and continued to move forward to their first class of the day.

‘Maybe having Yoochun as a boyfriend won’t be such a bad thing after all.'
