Buckled under the gravitational power of The Mall and its lesser dieties, Coupons and Sales. Bombay Company is going out of business (20-40% off, not great, but then again i'm not getting furniture yet) I got a ton of tassles (i have an obsession) and some tall and very substantial ceramic candleholders. I got free unda-wears at VS (again! yay!!), a book and a small box of jelly bellies (I was starving and needed to make $10 to use my coupon) at Borders, as well as a gag gift for someone - not sure who yet. At Express, I got annoyed. lol. They finally decided to enforce the "no coupons on clearance stuff"...so I had to buy something at reg. price. I think $30 is toooo much for a tshirt, but I had $10 off; its still way too much but whatever, maybe I'll return it in a month for something more worth the money.
Oh yeah I also got gas cuz the needle was on the E and I was starting to get a little worried. Gas cost me over $35. Then I got lost on the way home from the gas station. What should have been a 10 min drive turned into a 40 min drive as I drove past the street I meant to turn on and then, like a man, was determined not to go back and just find the other way to my house. I ended up way to the south, tried to salvage it by trying some side streets, both of which led to dead ends (I've never seen a city with so many dead ends!) and then drove in circles for a while as I tried others. I screamed when I passed Palm Bay High for the second time after I'd taken a turn that went the opposite direction of it and then came back somehow. It felt like the twilight zone. I don't know anyone else that gets lost 5 minutes from their house...I must be special. Eventually, one of the semi-random turns took me back to the road I'd started on and then back up it to the road I'd meant to take in the beginning. So that was my day. I'm kind of amused by the getting lost thing, but I think I wasted gas that I need for getting to work, which is not so amusing.
Oh and during this lostness, I named my car Shorty. XD
