So I made the time-sinking mistake, a, uh, while ago earlier this evening, of clicking through to the bad_penny start post detailing the full wackiness that was the whole msscribe thing that blew big holes in large parts of HP fandom back in the days of yore.

(also hilarious and mind-boggling at the same time. Because I think I always forget just HOW batshit it all was until right when I'm looking at it again. Seriously, this thing--to mix fandoms--is like the freaking Silence of fandom wanking)
