I missed your birthday, didn't I? I'm sorry. Sounds like it was awesome! And the transformer prime looks very cool.

Hey, weren't you maybe coming out this way? Did that ever happen? Is it still possibly going to happen? Yes, it's all about me. I miss you, and will take any excuse to remind you of that...

So, anyway. Late Happy Birthday!

*many many hugs*

So, my darling... how do you feel about having an interloper shack up on your sofa at the beginning of november? *flutters eyelashes* I have holiday to book and I was thinking WHO HAVEN'T I BUGGED FOR A WHILE? (the answer is: you!)

(I'm currently looking at flying out on the 30th/31st Oct and flying back on the 13th/14th Nov , so you'd have to put up with me for, like, two whole weeks)

Eeeeeeeeee! Interloper, my ass! You are beloved of me and my whole family and you have a place to stay for as long as you are willing to tollerate us ( ... )

:D

It's actually way cheaper for me to fly out on the 30th Oct (a Tuesday) and land at like, 7pm local time, although there are earlier flights if that'd be easier?

I...had completely not twigged that the 31st is Halloween *facepalm*

(I would love to do thanksgiving, but I can't get time off around then as someone else already has it, boo)

I know that things are pretty awful right now, and you are probably not thinking about this, but just in case you were I thought I should answer you. I would understand if you decide to change your mind about coming out here (I would be very sad, but I would understand), but if you still want to come, then yes, arriving at 7pm local time on the 30th is great. It hopefully would be enough after rush hour that the drive home would not be too horrendous. (I assume you'd be flying into LAX?)

I just wanted to make sure that you didn't miss booking a cheap flight because I hadn't gotten back to you.

(It amuses me that you missed the 31st being Halloween. It is far too big a night here to be forgotten. If you are here, Hubby has already agreed with me that we should do something awesome that night with you)

Sending you so very many hugs, and so much love.

would it horrify you to learn that I've never been trick or treating, and only dressed up for halloween once I was over 18, and then mainly because my bf's birthday is the week before? It's just not that big a thing over here I don't think.

I would love love LOVE to visit you guys still, but it depends on Mum and how she's coping. If I do come, I make no promises that there won't be copious instances of snot and tears at random intervals. (the prices for the flights are the same until the end of September so, y'know, I've got time. And I think I am really fucking going to need a holiday by November, as mean as that sounds)

I remember being in London for Halloween many many years ago (decades, really) and it was not a big thing at all then. I wasn't sure if it had changed in the intervening years. Last year, Hubby and I went to a very cool haunted house. We had to wait in line for hours to get in, but it was a lot of fun. Very close to us there's also a walking ghost tour where they act out scenes from the past. We missed it because the haunted house line had been so long we got to the walking tour too late. If you are here, we'll be better prepared. The best part of the haunted house is that it exists so that you can scream really loud. I find that screaming really loud helps when I'm sad.

I'm glad you have time to make a choice. We will understand whatever you choose. It doesn't sound mean at all to need a holiday after being through hell. I know I'd want one.

copious instances of snot and tears at random intervals sounds like a normal day here, so truly no worries. We can do some fun stuff that will make you forget for a bit. And I have a dog that ( ... )

On the costume front I could...turn up with my giant TeamGB flag as a cape and be a VERY LOST Olympic spectator?

Ha! I've not worn a costume in years! We let the kids dress up for us so we don't have to. ;-) You're welcome to wear one if you want, but it is by no means mandatory. (and if you really want to wear something, and don't have anything to bring, I'm sure we could work something out...)
