Seven Years!

I did my first Live Journal post seven years ago. I was in Ireland for Christmas, my parents still lived in the house I grew up in, I was a teacher working full-time in Poland, and I'd just gotten off the neuro-medication that I'd been taking since the injury in '98. I wanted to be a writer, and Christian persuaded me to start the journal partly as a writing exercise.

Like many people, I posted for a few years, and then stopped, as things got too busy, too difficult. Things were so much in flux, and posting fell by the wayside.

And now things are no longer in flux. I'm in Poland for Christmas, sitting on the sofa at Marcin's. I'm back on the neuro-medication, but I'm doing better than I was back then. I just got a full-time job in Germany as a technical writer. I've had some of my short stories published. I'm feeling good about my life, and about myself.

Things are good, and I wish you all the same.

Happy Holidays again. I know I already said it, but I'm feeling like spreading the good feeling. All the best, and see you all online.
