I had a bad day. A horrible, no good, very bad day. But I did finish Harry Potter, and Erin took me to the Dennys where we used to hang out after high school and talked things out with me, so that was good. And we started planning for my birthday/Aaron's going away/Erin & Jake's housewarming party. I'll tell you one thing: the theme is hobos.

What pisses me off the most about Remus and Tonks is not just that they both died (although Tonks, being most likely steeped in her postpartum period, should not have been away from the baby at ALL) but that they died so abruptly. I mean, he comes around a corner and there they are, dead. No heroic story, no warning, foreshadowing, no leading up to it, just BAM, there they are, gone forever. They don't even explain how it happened, even after it's all over!
Seriously needed another chapter.
Whining aside, I loved it too. ^_^ (Yeah, two pages in my journal about that)

other interesting parallels: snape died in the shrieking shack where he would have died originally if James hadn't saved him.
Sirius bought Harry his first broom when he was a baby... and bought him his firebolt later on.

to be honest, NOTHING in the book seemed like loose ends tied up to me, although there definitely were plots i expected more of a conclusion from (the centaurs, for one)
Draco should have died, I'm afraid, and I have a feeling he was the one whose death was reprieved at the last chance.
I agree that the end chapter left something to be desired, but I wonder how long ago she wrote it. we know it was a while ago, so maybe she didn't want to add anything to it. she's also said that she'll be answering questions and stuff, so i'm sure she DOES know what happens to everyone else, even if it's not in the book.
i never wanted Harry to run Hogwarts, but I'm bummed that he didn't break the curse by taking over DADA.
