Poor livejournal. I have been neglecting you so horribly. Funny how that works when you go from living with your parents to living with one of your best friends...you spend less time on the interweb.
Here's a quick recap, Dante:
Last Thursday Erin and I were horribly decadent, but good at the same time. We took Dexter to the dog park where I climbed a tree and ripped my pants. There were TWO corgis there and I forgot my camera (I'm sorry bear, next time I promise). After that we went to Chinatown (oh, excuuuse me--the International District) and spent too much money on adorable snack foods at Uwajimya. We drifted down the street and had dim sum for lunch, which was delicious, although we got the crazy pushy waitress at the Purple Dot.
After taking Dex home, we hit up Broadway for old time's sake. I ended up getting a new belt (which I needed) at Hot Topic (yeah, well) for $3 on clearance. Then we stopped at Crossroads Trading Co. where all the clothes are ridiculously overpriced, albeit awesome. I bought a pair of shoes that are impractical and unneccesary and yet amazingly awesome. Plus they were cheap.
I haven't felt so feminine in months.
Saturday night Devin and Anna, my favorite punk rock sweethearts, had a house-warming for their new place in Capitol Hill. It's a darling apartment, actually quite spacious. I got to meet some of Anna's friends and some members of
The Them, the punk band Devin roadies for. I have promised to go see them at The Funhouse in a few weeks, even though that club gives me the willies.
Erin is sick, so immediately after work today I came home and made her soup and grilled cheese for dinner. Erin has proclaimed my grilled cheese sandwiches to be magical, and I would be hard-pressed to disagree.
Unfortunately, my rush out of work to catch my bus meant I forgot to buy my copy of Rent. What? No, of course my boss wouldn't fudge on the February 21 release date and sell me the DVD a day early, that would be unethical and illegal. *coughs*
Not that I'd watch it tonight anyway...Erin and I had an episode of House to polish off (even though we're both furious at him for what he did at the end of the last episode), and now I'm just writing a short lj entry before bed.
Did I say short? Too late.
Happy birthday, Dave Mustaine Ted Danson Hasish Benjamin Hassenger. I miss being one of your passengers.
BACK SEAT CHALLENGE!
There are two kitties asleep on my bed. I think I'll go join them.
