The audience listened, transfixed

I had a dream last night.
If you are the kind of person who doesn't like to hear about other people's dreams, I encourage you to read this comic, and by all means do not click on this lj-cut.

I dreamed that I was at the Motion City Soundtrack show at the end of this month. I've never been to Neumo's, and in my dream it was huge. There was hardly anyone there, which was cool but dissapointing at the same time. MCS went on first, which doesn't make sense, because they're the headliners. Lots of people were in the club, but only a few were dancing. I was there with my sister and a handful of people I don't remember, and they had staked out a spot far from the stage. I had all my stuff with me for some reason, my jackets and my satchel and my laptop, so I left it all with them and went to go dance.
The band looked weird...the stage was really big and seemed sparse. I think it was because there was no drummer, but I didn't really notice that in the dream. There were two girls in the band I didn't recognize and I hated them, because all they did were little Jamie-Woolford-esque hand gestures to the songs. I tried to dance but felt like I looked really silly, and kept bumping into people. They played a slow song and I got very tired, so I laid my head down on the stage and closed my eyes.
Robert showed up, and so did some of my friends from temple: Ruthanne and Sarah Hilchie of all people. The band seemed to move into a different room and there was no one there but me dancing and Robert sitting in a chair. I started floating and couldn't get my feet to touch the ground, which really scared me. I told Robert this happened to me in dreams sometimes, but never in real life. He told me to look and see if there was anything on the ground making me float, so I looked and there were all these ads on the ground. I moved them around and suddenly I could walk again.
The band finished their set and disappeared, so I went back to where my sister and everyone were sitting. The roomed turned into a big parking garage, and right then Ben showed up. I gave him a big hug and he swung me around in circles. We went to where my sister and everyone was packing up, because apparently the show was over. I went to turn off my laptop, and saw that Gmail was open. I started to freak out, thinking someone had used my computer, then I realized it wasn't even mine. I asked my sister where it had gone, and she said she took it to be upgraded as a present to me, and not to worry, because they copied all the information onto some kind of device. She handed it to me and it looked like a swimming earplug on a lanyard. I asked if she was sure they got everything, and suddenly she thought they might have done it wrong.
I was just starting to get angry when Pepper knocked a glass of water that I foolishly left sitting by my bed all over me.
In real life, not in the dream. It was 8am and I had only been asleep for about 4 hours, so I kicked Pepper out of my room, got my hairdryer, and proceeded to try and dry my sheets, mattress, and pillows. Took me a half hour and nothing was fully dried, but I just crawled into bed and fell back asleep.
Slept for 2 and a half more hours...dreamlessly, this time.
