There are things I should be doing, like making the necessary formatting edits to my thesis (which is getting published), or finding out how to get from Heathrow to Euston Square station (I think), or finishing the last piece of the painting/collage/thing I have been working on, but instead I am listening to music and fangirling a certain singer Read more... )

I'm sorry you're in such pain, both physically and emotionally. I know how hard it is to be living in a place you don't particularly like and working a job you don't enjoy. Here's hoping things look up soon!

But yay for happy shopping! Sounds like a very nice outfit!

Anyway, i can help with the Heathrow sit! First, you can absolutely do the tube but it's a bit hassle, especially if you have a decent bit of luggage. So, options!
1. Towards the end of my time in London, I always did a car service. It's slightly more expensive but well worth the cost. I used to use Ray's London Transfers: http://www.london-transfers.com/

2. The Heathrow Xpress (http://www.heathrowexpress.com) is a wonderful invention. Cheaper than the car service but way nicer than the tube. Bonus, the tickets don't expire for months so it's no hassle if flights are delayed, etc. Buy in advance OL for cheaper prices.
Take the Heathrow express to Paddington and then it's a short walk to switch to the Hammersmith & City Line to get to Euston Square.

3. The Tube! I'm, obviously not sure which terminal you're coming into but you should take the Picadilly Line to King's Cross (don't get off at Green Park even though it's logical. It's a HASSLE with luggage) and then switch to Victoria Line for Euston Square.

Okay, that's all I got without further details. Lemme know if I can help with any London stuff. Years of living there has ingrained some knowledge for life. :)

It's not like I'm in a BIG pain, physically - it's more an ongoing one and, at some point, it just makes you feel tired and sore and weak all over, and I hate that. :( But thanks for your sympathies! <3

And THANKS for the London transportation hints! I'm just going for the weekend, so I'll just be taking a small carry-on luggage, so I am probably going to take the Tube or one of the trains (there are the regular trains as well, it seems, aside from the express, and they're cheaper:)).
Now that you mention King's Cross... there's a kid in me that wants to go there and check out Platform 9 and 3/4 again. I mean, I was there two years ago, but... ;)
