Daisuke Takahashi's new SP. Watch for what happens at the very end. It's hilariously cute. :D (His costume is very classy, too.)

I first saw this program a few days ago - it was a TV broadcast of a Japanese show (Carnival on Ice or something?). (It got deleted from YouTube, though.) I think the SP is brilliant, even though the music is not quite my cup of tea - another tango? again? His jumps are looking solid, his choreography is intriguing and the way he moves is a pleasure to watch, as always. I've missed Daisuke last season. I think his return is going to mix up a little in the Men's figure skating scene. While I think Plushenko's comeback is mainly hype (I don't actually believe he will win another Olympic medal - I hope he doesn't!), and Stéphane's comeback leaves me a bit skeptical, it seems that Daisuke is back and in top form. If he can keep it up and perform when it matters, he could do very well this season - he's one of the men I'd like to see do well. Though of course it's so pointless to speculate.
I'm looking forward to seeing proper, professional footage of everyone's new programs from actual competitions.
I won't make predictions, but have a list of (Senior) Men I'd Like To See Win Stuff:
- Johnny Weir (well, duh! his new programs better be brilliant)
- Adam Rippon (because he's one of the few newcomers that I really like)
- Daisuke Takahashi (see above)
- Stéphane Lambiel (maybe, because I'm sentimental, he's adorable and his spins and step sequences are lovely)
- Takahiko Kozuka and Denis Ten (because wouldn't that be hilarious?!; plus, they actually are great skaters)
and, alright...
- Evan Lysacek (because he and Johnny look good standing side by side on podiums and I'm nostalgic like that.

I should go to sleep, I'm getting up early tomorrow.
