Fangirling tiny gay Americans. As always.

I think I have a crush on Adam Rippon now. *__* I just watched his SP from Cup of Russia.
The hair is cute. He needs to keep it curly.
The way he keeps beaming after that far-from-perfect 3A. It made me laugh out loud!
The layback catchfoot spin. ♥ See, Johnny? That is a proper layback catchfoot! It's quite close to the Biellmann and those of you who know me know how I feel about boys doing the Biellmann spin.
The step sequences are quite brilliant. He's got so much expression and some of his moves are so pretty! It's the kind of step sequences that make you hop up and down on your chair because they are just that exciting to watch. I think there are two kinds of footwork in figure skating, or three, actually: 1) the kind that you just stare at, mesmerized, entralled, completely captured by the beauty and flow (aka the Johnny Weir step sequence) 2) the kind that is fiery and passionate and that makes you bounce and make excited little noises (aka the Evan Lysacek step sequence) 3) the boring kind.
What I love about Adam's footwork is that it's somewhere between Johnny and Evan, with a whiff of Daisuke Takahashi thrown in. Thinking about that, Adam actually reminds me of Daisuke quite a lot. Hmm, why would that be, I wonder? ;)
Also, Adam's little "spasibo" in the K&C. See the Johnny-influence there, see?!
Last but not least, I want to know what these stickers on his Team USA jacket depict. And dude, Morozov almost kissed his head in the K&C, did you see that?!

I also watched Joubert's SP and it was kinda fun to watch, of course. But my favorite part was TAT clenching her fists and clapping and then giving him a standing ovation like the good little fangirl she is, hahaha! Her coat... I actually like it in a way? I mean, it's horrible, especially on someone her size, but the floral patterns are very traditional and the glitter is very... well. Very figure skating.
Joubert sort of looked thinner this time, for some reason. And he has a big bruise on one of his upper arms, under that fishnet. He still looks like a hooker and it cracks me up. I like the little freckles on his nose, though, I've always kinda liked those.

edit: Also, Brandon Mroz should learn from Adam. They both use the same music (Toccata and Fugue) and they both wore black & red to skate to it. Brandon's costume is a monster, while Adam's is kinda pretty. SEE BRANDON? THAT is how you wear red to Bach!
I expect Adam's costumes to keep getting better, now that he's Johnny's protege. ;)
