Damn, my suitcase is heavy. :( I always forget just how heavy it was the last time, so I have no way of comparing. It is certainly overweight, I just don't know how much and that... makes me a bit worried.
I am undecided between making my carry-on very heavy or keeping it fairly light - I don't know if they'll check the weight of that or not. I don't want them to make me check it in, because then I'd pay the charge for an additional suitcase (I don't know how much that is), plus the standard luggage charge (€10 if you don't register it in advance).
I skated with Lena today. The session was full - there were 3times as many people as usually at Centralniy. The ice was not very good and they made us pay the full price even tho we came only for one hour. But it was fun, we goofed around a bit and chatted and skated properly a bit, too. Lena taught me how to do loop-turns (or showed me and I could do a few wobbly ones) and also that turn that I don't know how to call that Johnny had in one of his programs (KoC?) - it's like a three turn and you turn in the natural direction of movement, but you go from outside to outside (but it's not a counter!) and then right after the turn you put your other foot down, too. Lena thinks I made progress, though I didn't really skate very properly and as nicely as I usually do. :)
Then we went home to my place, had tea and some food and expensive ice cream on a stick. Lena is a sweetheart. <3 She's picking me up tomorrow in the morning, so she can help me get to the airport with all my luggage and see me off.
Russia, round 2 was... Well, school sucked. But I was a much better expat this time around. I actually did
all the things on my to-do list. I loved all the skating I was able to do here, I loved skating with Yulia the Coach, I loved that I learned new things and got better. I didn't do heavy sightseeing, but I still saw many lovely places and things, went to see some fantastic theater performances and other performances, I enjoyed the Russian food (pastries yay!) and learned how to make real Russian blinis... The four months were okay, I think. The next time I come to Russia, I will come for figure skating, ballet and food. Not for school. I will miss Moscow when I leave, I'm sure. I'll miss the metro, I'll miss the fashion and the girls who spend their lives on high heels.
My flight is tomorrow today at 1:55pm, Moscow time. At 2:45 Central European Time I shall be in Berlin. My train goes at 6:46 and around 9 I should be in Dresden. Wish me luck for the luggage check-in. :)
