Goodbye productivity, hello procrastination.

It's hot outside. There is a remnant of Saturday's storm in the air, humid, and a scent of grass and magnolias. I only have about three weeks left here in South Carolina and I think I'm going to miss it, especially the weather.

I was so productive this morning - sent e-mails to various professors and people from my university, completed a DAAD-form for my scholarship application... Now, though, I say goodbye to productivity. Though I suppose I should look up some plane tickets. Shhh, Tallinn.

I saw several movies this weekend:
- The Italian (Итальянец), which I had downloaded even before noticing that Johnny Weir lists it as one of the "hot things" for May. It's about a little boy named Vanya who lives in an orphanage in Russia and, instead of going to live with Italian adoptive parents, chooses to go search for his biological mother.

- Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which had some very lovely music in it and was probably one of the craziest things I've ever seen. Another Johnny Weir favorite I thought about watching before I knew it was his favorite. What is it with Johnny Weir liking all those glittery, psychedelic, gay, glam-rock movies, anyway?

- Girl With a Pearl Earring, which has a gorgeous soundtrack and the beautiful Scarlett Johansson - she's not the type of actress I normally like, but she's so pretty in this. It was nice to watch.

- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and a large part of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, thanks to ABC family's Harry Potter weekend.

- Hero, which I discovered surfing through channels in one of the commercial breaks in PoA. It's one of my all time favorite movies, so of course I watched part of it and it still takes my breath away, although the English version sounds funny, as the actors have funny Chinese accents.

Then yesterday evening was dedicated to all things Russian. I listened to some random Russian music, then I watched Totmianina & Marinin on YouTube (how perfect were their programs at the Olympics?!), then I watched some Cheburashka and that gave me plot bunnies, so I sat down and started writing fic about Johnny Weir and Evgeni Plushenko.
I decided that I need to do some research and watched several interviews with him where he speaks English - in one of them, one from Torino, it's Gwendal Peizerat interviewing him, while My Way is playing in the background. Very cute. And I also saw one of the bestest performances of his Tosca exhibition - it was at Fashion on Ice in Japan and it made me bounce with excitement, which is something that usually only happens when it's Johnny I'm watching.
Then somehow I got distracted and ended up watching some Stéphane Lambiel. And it made me wonder - why oh why do I ship Johnny with Evan half of the time when Zhenya and Stephane are much sweeter and Evan has been an asshole these days? But I can't help it, it's the Harry/Draco shipper in me, the love/hate thing that always gets me - and Evan/Johnny have great love/hate potential.
Talking about Johnny... Have you seen Melissa Gregory call him their mistress on MySpace? XD Seriously, this muzh/zhena thing she, Denis and Johnny have going on is killing me.
