Character Concepts - Heroes
These are some of my ideas for characters I want to use for my original story involving a fictional world almost completely different from our own--which I have named Neo Mundo--where some of the residents have been gifted with a special talent, otherwise known as a superpower. All of these are still under construction and everything here is subject to change at any given time, but for now I'd like feedback so I know what I could work on and to help me focus my direction more with this story. Some of these characters I made specifically for this story and others are fan characters I had used for role-plays or fanworks. The characters in this particular entry are part of the protagonist's team who not only help her fight off the enemies, but help her grow (consciously or not) in every way possible as the story progresses. As an ending note, I have not read superhero comics or anything of the sort so the names I gave my characters were completely made-up by me.

[Dreamscape]
Rhodia Rodensia
Female. Age 17. Height 5'5". Brown hair, turquoise eyes.
Position: Captain
Superpower: Reality Warp
Appearance:
pre-timeskip: flat all around, big eyes, innocent face, dresses really plain, hair is held with a braid.
post-timeskip: develops curves, hair is loose and wavy, dresses more confidently
Personality: hard-working who always gets every job done with efficiency and quality, independent, perseveres, realistic, doesn't like too much optimism or too much pessimism, adventurous only when prompted, self-conscious about appearance, brave, compassionate, trusting, takes too much on her plate, doesn't know how to relax unless on an adventurous task.
Background: Rhodia's parents died when her last little brother was born, though the causes are unknown. She has three younger siblings, Timmy, Tommy, and Teddy who she adores dearly. They look up to her and try to help her out however much they can. She hasn't traveled outside her island and the farthest she's gotten is on the other side where the port town is at. The community she lives in is pretty closely knit so everyone knows everybody. When the funds run low for her island home she makes it a mission to go to the Capitol to request from the Regalia for financial assistance. She takes supplies sufficient for the journey and Tropia the Featherbeast who she uses for transportation.
Stimulant: power activated when she and Oliver get into their first hazardous event.

Oliver Wildes
Male. Age 21. Height 6'2". Black hair, green eyes.
Position: Vice-Captain
Superpower: Fire Manipulation
Appearance:

Personality: carefree, friendly, cheerful and temperamental, but scary when angered. Doesn't take a lot of things seriously. Helpful and honest. Suave so it's easy for him to persuade people to do things, such as bargaining or accompanying him places.
Background: He came from a dysfunctional home and couldn't tolerate being there so he left. His dad died a drunkard, his mother was always critical with him, his older siblings bested him in virtually everything. Because he didn't gain any self-worth at home, he decided to join the Protectorates and headed off to the center of it all, Nexus, the primary city on the main continent of Neo Mundo. He gets lost on the way and ends up shipwrecked on the island where Rhodia lives. He meets her in the port town when she's about to set off on her journey. Telling her tales of the Protectorates and how he dreams to have his own team, he manages to hitch a ride with her as she knows the way to Nexus.
Stimulant: power activated when he was younger when he felt threatened but because he was the only one with them, his family felt estranged from him.

Zenon
Male. Age 23. Height 6'2". Green hair, red eyes.
Position: Mentor
Superpower: Gravity Manipulation

Personality: militant and observant, hard-working, moralistic, takes things seriously so it's hard to joke around with him
Background: As an orphan he was brought into the Protectorates at a young age. Because he received training so young, his powers activated fairly quickly and was able to get a grasp of them in no time. He didn't take the Denizens very seriously as he was able to defeat them with ease thanks to his powers, but when his mentor died (who was much stronger than him), he knew that what he was dragged into wasn't child's play.

[Momma Roo]
Martha
Female. Age 28. Height 5'9". Pink hair, burgundy eyes.
Position: Mentor
Superpower: Marsupial Physiology

Personality: motherly and sensible, a confidant, a bit reckless when it comes to defending her team, hardy
Background: She grew up in a quaint little village in one of the Flora Regions of Neo Mundo. She had a family that consisted of a husband and a son who she adored dearly. She was happy for a few years after her marriage, until a raid on her village disrupted the peace. She lost her husband who was brutally killed and her son was taken from her by the Denizens. He was used in experimentation and was left to terrorize the nearby towns. Being one of the few with a firm enough grasp of her powers, she had no choice but to kill him so other innocent lives wouldn't be lost. She was very tempted to take her own life, but village elders convinced her to live on. It's when she meets Rhodia and her small crew that she decides to join the Protectorates.

Benjamin Ebenezer
Male. Age 21. Height 5'8". Brown hair, gray eyes.
Position: Chronicler
Superpower: Intangibility

Personality: intelligent and curious but is afraid to get hurt so he tries not to involve himself in conflict, able to improvise on the spot, loves to read, likes learning for the sake of it, somewhat of a pushover, articulate with an odd vernacular
Background: He has been in his comfort zone for all his life in a vintage city of one of the Urban Regions which architecture that resembles Old England. He surpassed his peers in school and could often be found at the public library during his free time. Typical of his personality and appearance, he was often bullied and teased. He feels like he has a greater purpose in life but he's too afraid to try and find it.
Stimulant: powers activate when he finally shows his first act of courage in the presence of Rhodia and her crew.
[Overgrowth]
Evagreane Woodsworth
Female. Age 22. Height 5'7". Green hair, gold eyes.
Position: Botanist
Superpower: Plant Manipulation

Personality: intelligent and likes to experiment with ideas, easily fascinated by many things dealing with plants, open-minded, not afraid of physical harm, won't hesitate to experiment on herself for the sake of science
Background: She doesn't remember who her parents are, but she feels like they were kind. She had gotten separated from them in the woods and wandered into a town foreign to her. There she was taken in by a lonely couple who loved gardening. This contributed to her love for plants (and animals) so she decided to study them. When she was old enough she began to travel as her dream is to learn about every single plant and animal species in Neo Mundo. The species of plant that fascinated her most on her journey was Dionaea furcellatus, the Sangria flower, as their seeds held many healing properties and because they were the largest plants she's discovered and also the most dangerous as they're carnivorous. She ends up planting one of the seeds in her home which grows slowly at first to a baby Sangria who likes to eat fruits and vegetables. She joins Rhodia's crew after they help her save the population of the Sangria plants.
Stimulant: powers activate when she was a teenager trying to save a group of animals.

Hamathos Geo

Background of both: Growing up in an orphanage of one of the Heat Regions, they depended a lot on each other. Oftentimes they got in trouble when they pulled pranks on the other kids. They're always up for doing something fun or exciting, but if they get lost from each other unintentionally, they begin to freak out. They're highly dependent on each other which proves both an advantage and disadvantage. Because they grew bored, they ran away from the orphanage and grew up on the streets instead. Krustallos developed his power first but he only knew how to create small gems as a source of income. Hamathos uses his power to make a quick getaway or to defend his brother. He's the older twin with Krustallos being the younger. They join Rhodia when they learn it's alright to trust other people besides themselves.

Ettis Morou
Female. Age 20. Height 5'6". Black hair, pansy purple eyes.
Position: Doctor
Superpower: Bone Manipulation

post-timeskip: slender, short hair that reaches her ears, wears a bow or some other hair accessory, still dresses in the same color scheme but more comfortable with more revealing clothing
Personality: realistic, analytical, intelligent, calm, doesn't anger easily, likes cute-spooky things, literally isn't afraid of anything except killing her patients, immune to gore and won't hesitate to kill if need be
Background: She grew up in a quiet town in one of the Flora Regions. She came from a well-to-do family of medics which is where her expertise arose but got really into it when her parents both fell sick and she was the only one who knew how to care for them. Her parents died when she gave them the wrong medication, thus her greatest fear: letting her patients die. When she found out the medication prescribed was swapped on purpose by somebody in the household, she grew restless and interrogated everyone but she had no luck. She's a bit odd in the sense that she's one of the few who sees beauty in creepy things and thinks being afraid of death is stupid. Because she comes off as creepy, she has no friends so she tends to herself a lot. She joins Rhodia's crew when they offer her the position of medic and help her solve the case of the real murderer of her parents.
Stimulant: powers had activated when her parents fell sick.
[Miss Muscle]
Annabel Sawyer
Female. Age 18. Height 5'5". Blonde hair, teal eyes.
Position: Cook
Superpower: Enhanced Strength

Personality: bubbly and optimistic, naïve, easily excitable, lacks fear, loves to cook, has a fondness for non-fluffy animals, friendly, a bit spacey but surprises people with ideas during tough spots, cries easily, motherly, likes exploring
Background: She's from a wealthy southern family in one of the Flora Regions. She's the youngest of five siblings and spends a lot of her time in the kitchen watching the chefs prepare meals and desserts, developing a passion for cooking. She was raised to be a proper young lady but while she adores the pretty dresses and fancy meals, she's really against the idea of her being wed off. She actually doesn't want to get married and gets rather upset that her parents keep bombarding her with suitors. She spent a lot of her time in the bayous adoring the cute frogs and crocodiles (which worries everyone around her) especially at night so she can see the fireflies, getting mud and gunk all over her. She wants to prove to her family that she isn't a little girl who needs to be protected all the time and that she wants a life of her own, but they don't give her any credibility. It isn't until Rhodia and the crew come along that she's able to show her worth as an independent young lady, joining them and taking up position as head chef.
Stimulant: powers activate when she protects her father from danger.
[Wipe Out]
Samuel Logan
Male. Age 22. Height 5'11". Oxford blue hair, orange eyes.
Position: Navigator
Superpower: Water Manipulation

post-timeskip: the same
Personality: easily angered, foul mouthed, moralistic, likes to help and protect people, enjoys cooking and sewing, likes fluffy animals, awkward around females so he blushes and stutters a lot, feels being ungentlemanly toward women is a huge crime, not very smart but willing to learn, is actually a pretty nice guy but he just has a scary face
Background: His family owns a surfboarding shop in one of the coastal cities of one of the Aqua Regions. He's very protective of them, especially his little sister. She has an illness so she's very frail, and the treatment for it costs a fortune. He works his hardest in other jobs to raise money, but from the looks of things he won't make enough money in time to save her life. Because he's so family oriented, he spends a lot of time with them and doesn't get out much to make friends. In his youth he was bullied because of his weight and detests the fact that his former male classmates give him respect because he grew muscular and tall, and that his former female classmates give him attention because he grew attractive (but he's oblivious to his own appearance), so he can't tolerate people who only focus on the outward factors of a person. His sister growing ever weaker, he decides to join a surfing contest, his main hobby, but when a fellow surfer is about to get attacked from a shark, he saves him just in time, activating his superpower. Because of this, the judges think he cheated throughout the contest and disqualify him. When Rhodia and her crew comes along, Annabel becomes sympathetic toward him and pays for his sister's treatment thanks to her wealth. He is forever grateful and becomes the team's navigator.
Stimulant: powers activated when he saves a fellow contestant from the jaws of a shark.
[Iron Hide]
Memphis
Male. Age 23. Height 6'0". Auburn hair, skobeloff eyes.
Position: Engineer
Superpower: Metal Mimicry
Appearance: has short hair, spikes it up in the front, almost always wearing goggles, attire of choice are jeans, black boots, and a black muscle shirt, well-built, can sometimes be seen smoking. Appearance stays the same after the timeskip.
Personality: mostly calm but can get angry if people don't listen to him, though he's not violent but he's capable of crushing things with ease in his hands, very focused on his work, highly intelligent, rather blunt and straight-forward, prefers to be on his own than with a lot of people because it gives him more time to think, curious, takes a lot to impress him, likes money for the sole reason of being able to provide necessities for people he cares about
Background: He grew up in one of the Urban Regions, a large harbor city to be exact. All his life he's known a world of metal, fire, and filth. He has seen very little greenery or any bright colors so being surrounded by such things sometimes makes him feel uncomfortable, even annoyed. His parents own a shop that sells spare parts for things and he'd usually get in trouble because he would take them without their permission and invent things. Because his parents recognized his intellect as genius level, they advised him to only work on his projects within the confines of his room, out of sight from any customers or visitors to their abode. Being aware of the time stamps that restrained his city to flourish to a more futuristic lifestyle, he felt cheated and began to engross himself with the technology the more advanced regions were graced with. But of course because of the time stamp, he couldn't get very far with his studies, so he decided to leave and venture out to other regions with more sophisticated technology in hopes to land a job that pays well so he can get his family out of such an ugly place. Eventually he found himself working for the Protectorates in maintaining the Neo Crafts, the vessels that employees and officials use to travel about the world. He has kept his metal mimicry powers a secret from them because he doesn't want to be recruited. It's not that he doesn't want to fight or is afraid. He'd just rather not expend unnecessary energy for unnecessary things.
Stimulant: Powers activated when he was little right before he fell off a steel girder from a high altitude.
[Membrane]
Daniel Hawthorne
Male. Age 20. Height 5'9". Blonde hair, apple green eyes.
Position: Doctor
Superpower: Cytoplasmic Mimicry

pre-timeskip: short semi-curly hair with bangs that sometimes get in the way of his face so he keeps them tucked behind his ears or pinned, thin
post-timeskip: hair got a little longer, bangs completely obscuring his eyes, still thin
Personality: jolly almost all the time regardless of circumstance, optimistic, friendly, likes to help people on a constant basis, gets angry when people are being blatantly pessimistic, when angry in battle he doesn't cry out or anything of the sort but instead keeps a calm expression and intensely focuses on his opponent to defeat them, sometimes goes over the top when fighting so he almost kills the other person, has a childlike cruelty, nonchalant about death, booksmart
Background: Daniel was often considered an odd ball or even an annoyance because he was happy constantly. His parents weren't even sure how he came about to be so optimistic about everything, but he always responded the same way whenever he was asked, "Everything happens for a reason and just because it's bad doesn't mean nothing good will come from it." His idea of death is that there's an eternity after it and it's a part of life so being afraid of it is stupid. It's why he never dwells on the idea of anyone close to him dying, or even himself dying. His family wasn't very well off, but they managed. Daniel forced himself to stay in school despite situations at home and became interested in entering the medical field. He was often away at the library reading books to teach himself or doing jobs, however odd they were, to save up money to continue his academics into a higher institution of learning. It was during his alone time when he discovered his powers as he was dissecting a small animal. He got the hang of it pretty quickly. There came a point in his life when his optimistic shell hand been broken. His mother turned up missing for the longest time and because they couldn't hire a detective, he decided to solve it himself, even though his dad protested in fear he might get hurt. Ironically enough, when he put all the pieces together, his father had actually been his mother's murderer. His reasons were unjustifiable which threw Daniel into a rage. His father was physical stronger than him and tried to kill him too in order to silence him, but because of his powers, he lost control and created an unstable clone that turned into a large vicious cell. It engulfed his father and deteriorated him. The boy stopped it too late and when it vanished, his father was no more. This resulted with Daniel being traumatized which eventually led him to run away. Nevertheless, he took his books with him and whatever little money he had because his dream of becoming a doctor still stood.
Stimulant: Powers activated when he was dissecting a test subject.
[Lady Limbs]
Natasha Johnson
Female. Age 23. Height 5'11". Dark brown hair, taupe eyes.
Position: Crew
Superpower: Elasticity
Appearance:
pre-timeskip: slender and bodacious with curly hair she lets slide off her shoulders, likes wearing jewelry and accessories
post-timeskip: the same except most of the time she prefers to have her hair in a fro
Personality: protective of people close to her, friendly, comforting, doesn't like to be talked down to or viewed as an inferior, cautious and wary, sassy, rational
Background: At a young age she took up martial arts and about every other form of self-defense. Her family was well-to-do, but the criminal population where she lived was bothersome. She didn't learn for her own well-being, but the well-being of her family and friends. She could care less what happened to her, if it meant her special people were saved or protected. Otherwise, she's very careful to not overexert herself so she can continue to be their guard. When Natasha realized she had a superpower, it threw her training off. Sometimes she couldn't even control it which caused her criminal prey to escape her. Eventually she learned, but throughout that time period it cost a few of the lives from the people close to her heart.

Manuel Sanchez
Male. Age 17. Height 5'6". Dark brown hair, brown eyes.
Position: Crew
Superpower: Enhanced Speed

Personality: friendly and cheerful but has a short temper, suave and charismatic, doesn't like to be touched without permission, stubborn, prideful, hard-working, easily jealous, moralistic, knows the value of material objects
Background: Growing up in one of the less fortunate Heat Regions, Manuel knows what it's like to live a few days without food. He also knows what it's like to be without nothing and having nobody around for you, so being lonely doesn't bother him. His mother was a saloon girl and his father he knows nothing about, nor does he care about knowing her. He left his mother when she revealed she was pregnant with him. For a few years early in his childhood, Manuel had been taken care of by his lovely mother, but she died from an epidemic that broke out in the town. With the little money she had, she bought a vaccine and used it on him instead of her. For the time after that, the poor boy wound up an orphan but refused to live at the orphanage. Instead he made his home on the streets, occasionally doing random jobs the townsfolk needed to get done. He preferred to be paid with food and clothes, regardless if they were new or not. He soon fell to the dastardly spell of infatuation when a new family moved in, setting his eyes on one of the daughters from the gent that bought a mansion. He had impressed her with his charisma and good nature whenever she'd go out to the town. They had a lot of fun being together and the feelings became mutual. But when her father found out, he forbid her from ever seeing Manuel again. He couldn't even get into the mansion's grounds because if he was caught, he'd be sent to jail and nobody would be able to bail him out. He liked his freedom too much. Eventually she was wed to a wealthy landowner, a friend of the family. Manuel spied on them out of curiosity and partly out of jealously. When he discovered that she was actually enjoying herself being with her new husband, laughing, smiling, kisses on the cheek, he backed off. Feeling sad, he made a promise to himself to never get attached to anyone ever again, because any person he's ever loved in his life just gets ripped out of it eventually. He'd rather not go through that pain.
Stimulant: Powers activated when he was trying to save a civilian during the time Rhodia and her team arrived at his town.
[Nine Lives]
Roxanne Glamoor
Female. Age 23. Height 5'7". Black hair, tango pink eyes.
Position: Tailor
Superpower: Feline Physiology
Appearance:
pre-timeskip: slender, voluptuous, short hair with curls at the end just a little above the shoulders
post-timeskip: looks the same except her hair grew all the way down to the small of her back
Personality: seductive, manipulative, materialistic, loves money, actually cares a lot more than she lets on, cunning, not fond of children but gets upset if anyone is mistreated, vain
Background: She's a pampered and spoiled brat from a very wealthy family, her mother a professional in both the interior and fashion design industry, while her father was a jack of all trades. Growing up in a luxurious and ritzy Urban Region, she's fond of skyscrapers and the busy city life. Because of her popularity and outgoing personality, she always got attention in school but whether her friends liked her for her or her money, she didn't care, as long as people noticed her. Rather creative and with an eye for beauty, she contributed to a lot of designs her family's company made, so even at an early age, she was already getting her cut of the business. She's smart when it comes to money and knows quality when she sees it, so trying to cheat her on a deal won't work. Because she was never exposed to the poorer areas of the region nor any of the other unfortunate regions of Neo Mundo, she has no idea what it's like to suffer. That is until her father died in a car accident, leaving her mother in a depressed state of being. The intense amount of sadness left her bed ridden and months after, she died as well. Roxanne was left with the fortune and the companies of both her parents. To hide her sadness, she busies herself running everything and shopping, almost to an addictive level.
Stimulant: Powers activated when she was a child, but kept them hidden so as not to alarm anyone, and to use to her advantage in dire situations.
[Scuttle]
Buddy
Male. Age 18. Height 5'6". Red hair, gray eyes.
Position: Crew
Superpower: Beetle Physiology
Appearance: messy hair that goes up to his ears, big eyes, thin
Personality: has a fondness for bugs, doesn't like spicy food, inquisitive, easily entertained, friendly, brave to the point of being stupid, talks a lot, knows random facts and likes to share them because he thinks they're interesting
Background: Growing up in a Flora Region of the world, Buddy has always wanted to venture outside his homes, but the funds his family had were insufficient. When he discovered his powers as a child, he embraced it instead of hiding it. He felt if he trained early enough, he could be admitted into the Protectorates and become an officer. His grandparents were against it, fearing he might get himself killed because they didn't think he would survive the dangers that came with the job. The only one who believed in him was his little sister who became his cheerleader and watched him train himself. When Rhodia's team was assigned a mission near his hometown, he asked them if he could be of any assistance. He pulled through, albeit with a struggle. Seeing how well the team took care of the felons and the task, Buddy wanted in. Though Zenon was against the idea because he felt the boy was inexperienced, Rhodia saw his determination and decided that was good enough.

[Warp Zone]
Gustavo Antonio DeLeon
Male. Age 22. Height 5'11". Dark brown hair, Caribbean green eyes.
Position: Treasurer
Superpower: Portal Creation
Appearance:
pre-timeskip: hair is sorta wavy and long so he kept it in a short ponytail, wears a gold earring on his left earlobe, toned body, has a scar above his hip
post-timeskip: looks the same except his hair is a bit shorter so he doesn't need a ponytail anymore
Personality: cunning, loves money and anything that will bring in cash, suave, belittles people he finds foolish, superstitious, cruel to his enemies, loyal once his trust is gained, openly shows affection, mischievous, somewhat relaxed, chivalrous, never backs down from conflict, makes it a point to let others know if people he cares about are harmed, not even the high heavens will save them from his wrath.
Background: His birthplace is in one of the Aqua Regions of the world. The time stamp left on this particular area threw it into the golden age of piracy. His older brother left home to become part of a crew despite protest from his parents. When Gustavo would go to the marketplace to run errands for his family, he often heard the tales of pirates at sea. The adventures they went on and the things they encountered, not to mention the loads of treasure sparked his interest. It is also there he learned about the timestamps, but he paid not much mind to them at first. When he tried to ask his parents about it, they always dismissed his question. Finding out for himself what the timestamps were, he thought it sneaky and vile. He had set out to sea to head for the Capitol to bring his issue to attention, but he got lost in the waves. Pirates had captured him but to save his skin, he decided to prove his loyalty by doing whatever they asked in exchange for a spot on the crew. Years passed and he became an infamous pirate captain, having a few run-ins with his brother, but not for a friendly family reunion. They both had a different definition of the word "pirate", Gustavo a more adventurous and fun-loving one, and his brother a more greedy and bloodthirsty one. His men were attacked and while trying to fend off the enemy, it was then his powers activated, causing him to teleport without his consent. He was left floating in this empty space, not sure what on earth had happened. Realizing his ability and that he was one of the "gifted" ones, he focused hard enough to return to his ship, but his brother had already left, all his men dead. Feeling no progression would occur if he stood there and afraid he might not be able to control his power if he tried to use it again, he created a makeshift raft and sailed the still waters, until Rhodia and her team found him unconscious and malnourished. For saving his life, he pledged loyalty to her, but the advanced technology he found aboard their vessel only made him more concerned about the timestamps.

Background: Daena enjoyed where she lived as the outskirts of the town were filled with animals and adventure, at least that's how she always viewed it. Growing up alone she became very independent and discovered her powers at random. At first she freaked out and cried about it, not sure how to turn back. It's then when she was afraid to go back to town that she ended up living in a cave. Her newfound instincts helped her survive, and only until she was sure she could control it, did she return to civilization. Whenever somebody questioned her about where she had been, all she said was that she took a journey so as to get them off her back. She isn't aware if anyone else has powers like her, nor does she want to go to the Protectorate station to find out.

Background: Raised in a well-to-do home, Baleno enjoys the finer things in life, so he prefers exquisite over standard. His powers were discovered at age 15 when he was running as a warm-up for his sports team. His feet began to spark and before he knew it, he was skyrocketing across the track. He got hurt as a result because he couldn't control it. Little by little he became aware of the kinds of powers he had and because he had this ability, he wasn't allowed to participate in sports. Angry because he felt it was unfair, he then turned his focus to harnessing this power. It made him cocky and he became a show-off, attracting attention from other people, watching him in awe. He had accumulated too much electricity at one point that for him to be in such a populated urban area was dangerous. Because of this, he was sent off to work at the Power Plant, of course, being a valuable energy source. He felt his talents were wasted doing something so boring, but whenever he tried to help people by stopping criminals, he went overboard and ended up putting a lot of them in the hospital with severe injuries. It isn't until Rhodia and her crew find him that they offer him a spot on the team, promising him to help harness that unstable energy.

Background: Found on the shore of one of the most beautiful Aqua Regions, she was raised by a lonely old father whose children had all left him. Bringing her up as his own, Sophia learned how to do menial tasks and skills acquired from him. One day as she was singing, she hit a high note and destroyed one wall of the house with her voice. Realizing what just happened, the old man tried to explain to her that she was one of the "gifted" people. She didn't know who to get help from so she freaked out because she couldn't control it in the beginning. When the old man died of age, she often sat on the rocks near the shore and sung sad songs. Being ostracized because she was nicknamed a siren for her voice and her appearance, she kept to herself on the shores, her home hidden away where nobody would be able to find her.

Background: The Heat Region where she grew up was brutal, and the timestamps didn't help out at all. The city itself was luxurious and exotic, but the rural areas surrounding it were sometimes in turmoil, full of thieves and murderers. Her parents were both potters and made wonderfully crafted ceramics that sold at a fair price. They lived a modest lifestyle in the city but were very strict with Abira and her older brother. She would often go to archeological sites, always inquisitive and asking the professors and archeologists about their findings or theories. She often read up on the history of her land as well as the world as a whole, but only books that were allowed within the timestamp. One day her brother went missing and she had no leads as to where or why. He had argued with their parents the night before. A few years had passed and as it turns out, the worst of her fears came true: he had become a criminal. Having been born with her psychic capabilities, she trained to enhance and sharpen them, all the while working to save up money in her traveling fund, locating her brother being the goal.

Background: He lives in one of the few Frost Regions of Neo Mundo. He grew up poor and married poor, but he and his wife always made it through. They had three children which he adored to death. When he wasn't working his shifts at the factory, he spent a lot of time with his family. A fortune teller had come to town and curious about the mystic, his wife went to go and get her fortune read. Dreadfully enough, the fortune wasn't good. Convinced that if they stood poor they'd all surely die, Nicolai's wife began to look for jobs that would bring them some extra income, no matter how seedy they were. A long while had passed and she kept this under her husband's nose, forcing the children not to tell their father or question when she brought home things that they could never afford. By the time Nicolai found out, it was too late. His wife had gotten into some serious trouble with the wrong kind of people, and working the night shift kept him away a lot. One could only imagine the devastation he felt when he came home to a bloody house. His wife was dead and his children missing. He asked all authorities and townsfolk about anything they might've known, but to no avail. He resorted to asking the fortune teller. She informed him she knew something about the murder and kidnapping, but wouldn't tell him unless she was given a hefty sum. Since then he's been working hard long hours to save up money to pay her and selling things he doesn't need, leaving him even poorer than before. It isn't until Rhodia's team shows up that his life takes a turn for the better.

The pressure of being domesticated upsets her, so on her off time she trains in the art of the sword, unknown to her relatives. She works as a waitress in a restaurant but longs to get out of the lifestyle, feeling like her talents are wasted on such a sedentary lifestyle. There's a secret she keeps hidden from both her parents and she doesn't plan on telling them or anyone else about it because she finds it shameful.

Background: Growing up modesty, he never cared about being rich or didn't even care if he and his father became poor. What he did care about was becoming part of the Protectorates, partly because he wanted to be famous. When it turned out that he was confirmed to not have a superpower, he became discouraged. It was then his father told him that he didn't need to have a special ability to join the law enforcers. He just had to be strong. Because of this, the boy trained since he was thirteen in practically every form of physical defense that was available to him. He stopped for a while after his father passed away, but keeping his words and encouragement in mind, he knew he was supporting him from above. When Rhodia's team happens to come to his area on another assignment, it's then he finds his chance and eventually convinces her to let him join after a bit of proof of his capabilities.
Stimulant: doesn't have a superpower but very very strong when it comes to physical strength and tact.

Gertrude

Appearance: hair length is a bit past her ears and curls at the end, has three wild hairs sticking up at the top, sharp teeth, freckles on her face, shoulders, and a bit on her chest, pointy ears, slender, has antennae and wings she can retract if she wants
Personality: curious, naïve, gluttonous, has no sense of decency, forgetful, cheerful, brave, somewhat sensitive, vicious when fighting, will eat just about everything except sweets, likes to smell and lick things
Background: Funny thing about Gertrude is that she was a humongous man-eating plant before. Evagreene raised her from a tiny seed for a few years. She acted much like a dog and was protective of the one she called "mother". When the botanist joined Rhodia's team, Gertrude was replanted onto the vessel and grew accustomed to the new atmosphere and having new friends. During a dangerous mission Gertrude intervened trying to save her "mother" but she ended up getting sliced in half. Evagreene was devastated. It wasn't until she herself was going to be killed by the opponent did the miraculous event happen, shocking the whole team. From the carapace of the plant form, Gertrude emerged as a human-sized fairy and stabbed the villainous offender from behind with her bare hand, ripping out his heart and consuming it. He died instantly. She soon became part of the team but everyone has to keep an eye on her as she doesn't like wearing clothes because she feels restricted. She pouts about it a lot. Thankfully she was conditioned by Evagreene rather quick to go on a diet of animal meat and fruits so she didn't try to consume other people.

Appearance: a humanoid fox, has red-orange fur, hair is in large curls and extends to the middle of her back
Personality: caring, hates needles, sympathetic, doesn't really like the sound of electricity or lightning, tries to make the best of every situation, self-conscious, gets angry when people look at her a certain way, sly
Background: As a teenager she was kidnapped from her home to use in experimentation by scientists that worked for the Denizens. They were trying to devise various serums that would give people superpowers artificially. First they went with a simpler ability, which was animal physiology. Many of the test subjects died, but Autumn was one of the few who endured the pain and torture. The serum failed as she couldn't revert back to her original form. She stood stuck with the humanoid figure of a fox, the animal she was chosen to be experimented with. Trashed because she was a failure, she was sent off to be killed so there was no evidence, but she managed to escape using her wit. Of course, no matter where she went, she was ostracized for her appearance and hid in the woods. Whenever she needed to go to town to buy things, she'd wear a cloak and a mask. Thankfully that was normal attire.

Appearance: he is entirely a robot but constructed to look like his human self, even though he's a metallic gray.
Personality: somewhat timid, helpful, resourceful, hates water, innovative, likes colorful things
Background: He had gotten involved in a fight he knew he couldn't win, but he was protecting innocent bystanders from harm. When he was knocked unconscious, the next thing he knew he woke up in a laboratory. He frantically and angrily asked what his purpose for being there was, but none of the scientists answered him. They tried to make him an android, but before they could get the control chip completed, he lashed out and destroyed the entire lab out of his blind rage. The scientists escaped and he was left with metal in places he didn't like, open wounds, and a heavy heart. A mysterious cloaked person had found him just as he was about to die. Again he passed out, and when he awoke, he found himself in another robotic body, but it looked almost exactly like the body he had as a human. He didn't feel a heart beating or lungs, or even any organs at all. He's not sure how he's able to function in his body, but he never grows tired or hungry, and rarely sleeps. When Rhodia's team discovers him, it's when his life starts to change and he starts getting some answers.

Personality: curious, intuitive, considerate, fascinated by a variety of things, doesn't know the meaning of personal space, clumsy, intelligent
Background: A resident of the vast Space Region, he came down to terrestrial surface of Neo Mundo because he was bored and wanted to learn more about the neighbors. Being an alien though doesn't get him many friends as his appearance is absurd, even for the world's standards where hair color other than black, brown, or blonde is normal. He was restricted to only venturing to the most technologically advanced regions of the world because the Capitol felt like people would accept him easier there. He wanted to be part of the terrestrial division of Neo Mundo, but no team would take him. Rhodia and her crew discovered him on one of their journeys and took him in, mostly because they thought it was cool he was an alien. He's still trying to get accustomed to being amongst humans and sometimes his naiveté can get on a few of their nerves.

Well, those are the hero characters I've created so far. Remember these are drafts because as you can tell some of their personalities should be better thought out and their backgrounds more distinguished. It's obvious which ones I took more time constructing, but this is a revision process that will go through many edits both in character depth and design. Actual story concepts are still in the works so I'll probably post those afterward.

Background: Rhodia's parents died when her last little brother was born, though the causes are unknown. She has three younger siblings, Timmy, Tommy, and Teddy who she adores dearly. They look up to her and try to help her out however much they can. She hasn't traveled outside her island and the farthest she's gotten is on the other side where the port town is at. The community she lives in is pretty closely knit so everyone knows everybody. When the funds run low for her island home she makes it a mission to go to the Capitol to request from the Regalia for financial assistance. She takes supplies sufficient for the journey and Tropia the Featherbeast who she uses for transportation.

Background: He came from a dysfunctional home and couldn't tolerate being there so he left. His dad died a drunkard, his mother was always critical with him, his older siblings bested him in virtually everything. Because he didn't gain any self-worth at home, he decided to join the Protectorates and headed off to the center of it all, Nexus, the primary city on the main continent of Neo Mundo. He gets lost on the way and ends up shipwrecked on the island where Rhodia lives. He meets her in the port town when she's about to set off on her journey. Telling her tales of the Protectorates and how he dreams to have his own team, he manages to hitch a ride with her as she knows the way to Nexus.
Stimulant: power activated when he was younger when he felt threatened but because he was the only one with them, his family felt estranged from him.

He didn't take the Denizens very seriously as he was able to defeat them with ease thanks to his powers, but when his mentor died (who was much stronger than him), he knew that what he was dragged into wasn't child's play.

She was happy for a few years after her marriage, until a raid on her village disrupted the peace. She lost her husband who was brutally killed and her son was taken from her by the Denizens. He was used in experimentation and was left to terrorize the nearby towns. Being one of the few with a firm enough grasp of her powers, she had no choice but to kill him so other innocent lives wouldn't be lost. She was very tempted to take her own life, but village elders convinced her to live on. It's when she meets Rhodia and her small crew that she decides to join the Protectorates.

Background: He has been in his comfort zone for all his life in a vintage city of one of the Urban Regions which architecture that resembles Old England. He surpassed his peers in school and could often be found at the public library during his free time. Typical of his personality and appearance, he was often bullied and teased. He feels like he has a greater purpose in life but he's too afraid to try and find it.
Stimulant: powers activate when he finally shows his first act of courage in the presence of Rhodia and her crew.

Background: She doesn't remember who her parents are, but she feels like they were kind. She had gotten separated from them in the woods and wandered into a town foreign to her. There she was taken in by a lonely couple who loved gardening. This contributed to her love for plants (and animals) so she decided to study them. When she was old enough she began to travel as her dream is to learn about every single plant and animal species in Neo Mundo. The species of plant that fascinated her most on her journey was Dionaea furcellatus, the Sangria flower, as their seeds held many healing properties and because they were the largest plants she's discovered and also the most dangerous as they're carnivorous. She ends up planting one of the seeds in her home which grows slowly at first to a baby Sangria who likes to eat fruits and vegetables. She joins Rhodia's crew after they help her save the population of the Sangria plants.

Background of both: Growing up in an orphanage of one of the Heat Regions, they depended a lot on each other. Oftentimes they got in trouble when they pulled pranks on the other kids. They're always up for doing something fun or exciting, but if they get lost from each other unintentionally, they begin to freak out. They're highly dependent on each other which proves both an advantage and disadvantage. Because they grew bored, they ran away from the orphanage and grew up on the streets instead. Krustallos developed his power first but he only knew how to create small gems as a source of income. Hamathos uses his power to make a quick getaway or to defend his brother. He's the older twin with Krustallos being the younger. They join Rhodia when they learn it's alright to trust other people besides themselves.

Background: She grew up in a quiet town in one of the Flora Regions. She came from a well-to-do family of medics which is where her expertise arose but got really into it when her parents both fell sick and she was the only one who knew how to care for them. Her parents died when she gave them the wrong medication, thus her greatest fear: letting her patients die. When she found out the medication prescribed was swapped on purpose by somebody in the household, she grew restless and interrogated everyone but she had no luck. She's a bit odd in the sense that she's one of the few who sees beauty in creepy things and thinks being afraid of death is stupid. Because she comes off as creepy, she has no friends so she tends to herself a lot. She joins Rhodia's crew when they offer her the position of medic and help her solve the case of the real murderer of her parents.

She was raised to be a proper young lady but while she adores the pretty dresses and fancy meals, she's really against the idea of her being wed off. She actually doesn't want to get married and gets rather upset that her parents keep bombarding her with suitors. She spent a lot of her time in the bayous adoring the cute frogs and crocodiles (which worries everyone around her) especially at night so she can see the fireflies, getting mud and gunk all over her. She wants to prove to her family that she isn't a little girl who needs to be protected all the time and that she wants a life of her own, but they don't give her any credibility. It isn't until Rhodia and the crew come along that she's able to show her worth as an independent young lady, joining them and taking up position as head chef.

Background: His family owns a surfboarding shop in one of the coastal cities of one of the Aqua Regions. He's very protective of them, especially his little sister. She has an illness so she's very frail, and the treatment for it costs a fortune. He works his hardest in other jobs to raise money, but from the looks of things he won't make enough money in time to save her life. Because he's so family oriented, he spends a lot of time with them and doesn't get out much to make friends. In his youth he was bullied because of his weight and detests the fact that his former male classmates give him respect because he grew muscular and tall, and that his former female classmates give him attention because he grew attractive (but he's oblivious to his own appearance), so he can't tolerate people who only focus on the outward factors of a person. His sister growing ever weaker, he decides to join a surfing contest, his main hobby, but when a fellow surfer is about to get attacked from a shark, he saves him just in time, activating his superpower. Because of this, the judges think he cheated throughout the contest and disqualify him. When Rhodia and her crew comes along, Annabel becomes sympathetic toward him and pays for his sister's treatment thanks to her wealth. He is forever grateful and becomes the team's navigator.

Background: He grew up in one of the Urban Regions, a large harbor city to be exact. All his life he's known a world of metal, fire, and filth. He has seen very little greenery or any bright colors so being surrounded by such things sometimes makes him feel uncomfortable, even annoyed. His parents own a shop that sells spare parts for things and he'd usually get in trouble because he would take them without their permission and invent things. Because his parents recognized his intellect as genius level, they advised him to only work on his projects within the confines of his room, out of sight from any customers or visitors to their abode. Being aware of the time stamps that restrained his city to flourish to a more futuristic lifestyle, he felt cheated and began to engross himself with the technology the more advanced regions were graced with. But of course because of the time stamp, he couldn't get very far with his studies, so he decided to leave and venture out to other regions with more sophisticated technology in hopes to land a job that pays well so he can get his family out of such an ugly place. Eventually he found himself working for the Protectorates in maintaining the Neo Crafts, the vessels that employees and officials use to travel about the world. He has kept his metal mimicry powers a secret from them because he doesn't want to be recruited. It's not that he doesn't want to fight or is afraid. He'd just rather not expend unnecessary energy for unnecessary things.

Background: Daniel was often considered an odd ball or even an annoyance because he was happy constantly. His parents weren't even sure how he came about to be so optimistic about everything, but he always responded the same way whenever he was asked, "Everything happens for a reason and just because it's bad doesn't mean nothing good will come from it." His idea of death is that there's an eternity after it and it's a part of life so being afraid of it is stupid. It's why he never dwells on the idea of anyone close to him dying, or even himself dying. His family wasn't very well off, but they managed. Daniel forced himself to stay in school despite situations at home and became interested in entering the medical field. He was often away at the library reading books to teach himself or doing jobs, however odd they were, to save up money to continue his academics into a higher institution of learning. It was during his alone time when he discovered his powers as he was dissecting a small animal. He got the hang of it pretty quickly. There came a point in his life when his optimistic shell hand been broken. His mother turned up missing for the longest time and because they couldn't hire a detective, he decided to solve it himself, even though his dad protested in fear he might get hurt. Ironically enough, when he put all the pieces together, his father had actually been his mother's murderer. His reasons were unjustifiable which threw Daniel into a rage. His father was physical stronger than him and tried to kill him too in order to silence him, but because of his powers, he lost control and created an unstable clone that turned into a large vicious cell. It engulfed his father and deteriorated him. The boy stopped it too late and when it vanished, his father was no more. This resulted with Daniel being traumatized which eventually led him to run away. Nevertheless, he took his books with him and whatever little money he had because his dream of becoming a doctor still stood.

Otherwise, she's very careful to not overexert herself so she can continue to be their guard. When Natasha realized she had a superpower, it threw her training off. Sometimes she couldn't even control it which caused her criminal prey to escape her. Eventually she learned, but throughout that time period it cost a few of the lives from the people close to her heart.

Background: Growing up in one of the less fortunate Heat Regions, Manuel knows what it's like to live a few days without food. He also knows what it's like to be without nothing and having nobody around for you, so being lonely doesn't bother him. His mother was a saloon girl and his father he knows nothing about, nor does he care about knowing her. He left his mother when she revealed she was pregnant with him. For a few years early in his childhood, Manuel had been taken care of by his lovely mother, but she died from an epidemic that broke out in the town. With the little money she had, she bought a vaccine and used it on him instead of her. For the time after that, the poor boy wound up an orphan but refused to live at the orphanage. Instead he made his home on the streets, occasionally doing random jobs the townsfolk needed to get done. He preferred to be paid with food and clothes, regardless if they were new or not. He soon fell to the dastardly spell of infatuation when a new family moved in, setting his eyes on one of the daughters from the gent that bought a mansion. He had impressed her with his charisma and good nature whenever she'd go out to the town. They had a lot of fun being together and the feelings became mutual. But when her father found out, he forbid her from ever seeing Manuel again. He couldn't even get into the mansion's grounds because if he was caught, he'd be sent to jail and nobody would be able to bail him out. He liked his freedom too much. Eventually she was wed to a wealthy landowner, a friend of the family. Manuel spied on them out of curiosity and partly out of jealously. When he discovered that she was actually enjoying herself being with her new husband, laughing, smiling, kisses on the cheek, he backed off. Feeling sad, he made a promise to himself to never get attached to anyone ever again, because any person he's ever loved in his life just gets ripped out of it eventually. He'd rather not go through that pain.

Growing up in a luxurious and ritzy Urban Region, she's fond of skyscrapers and the busy city life. Because of her popularity and outgoing personality, she always got attention in school but whether her friends liked her for her or her money, she didn't care, as long as people noticed her. Rather creative and with an eye for beauty, she contributed to a lot of designs her family's company made, so even at an early age, she was already getting her cut of the business. She's smart when it comes to money and knows quality when she sees it, so trying to cheat her on a deal won't work. Because she was never exposed to the poorer areas of the region nor any of the other unfortunate regions of Neo Mundo, she has no idea what it's like to suffer. That is until her father died in a car accident, leaving her mother in a depressed state of being. The intense amount of sadness left her bed ridden and months after, she died as well. Roxanne was left with the fortune and the companies of both her parents. To hide her sadness, she busies herself running everything and shopping, almost to an addictive level.

Background: Growing up in a Flora Region of the world, Buddy has always wanted to venture outside his homes, but the funds his family had were insufficient. When he discovered his powers as a child, he embraced it instead of hiding it. He felt if he trained early enough, he could be admitted into the Protectorates and become an officer. His grandparents were against it, fearing he might get himself killed because they didn't think he would survive the dangers that came with the job. The only one who believed in him was his little sister who became his cheerleader and watched him train himself. When Rhodia's team was assigned a mission near his hometown, he asked them if he could be of any assistance. He pulled through, albeit with a struggle. Seeing how well the team took care of the felons and the task, Buddy wanted in. Though Zenon was against the idea because he felt the boy was inexperienced, Rhodia saw his determination and decided that was good enough.

Background: His birthplace is in one of the Aqua Regions of the world. The time stamp left on this particular area threw it into the golden age of piracy. His older brother left home to become part of a crew despite protest from his parents. When Gustavo would go to the marketplace to run errands for his family, he often heard the tales of pirates at sea. The adventures they went on and the things they encountered, not to mention the loads of treasure sparked his interest. It is also there he learned about the timestamps, but he paid not much mind to them at first. When he tried to ask his parents about it, they always dismissed his question. Finding out for himself what the timestamps were, he thought it sneaky and vile. He had set out to sea to head for the Capitol to bring his issue to attention, but he got lost in the waves. Pirates had captured him but to save his skin, he decided to prove his loyalty by doing whatever they asked in exchange for a spot on the crew. Years passed and he became an infamous pirate captain, having a few run-ins with his brother, but not for a friendly family reunion. They both had a different definition of the word "pirate", Gustavo a more adventurous and fun-loving one, and his brother a more greedy and bloodthirsty one. His men were attacked and while trying to fend off the enemy, it was then his powers activated, causing him to teleport without his consent. He was left floating in this empty space, not sure what on earth had happened. Realizing his ability and that he was one of the "gifted" ones, he focused hard enough to return to his ship, but his brother had already left, all his men dead. Feeling no progression would occur if he stood there and afraid he might not be able to control his power if he tried to use it again, he created a makeshift raft and sailed the still waters, until Rhodia and her team found him unconscious and malnourished. For saving his life, he pledged loyalty to her, but the advanced technology he found aboard their vessel only made him more concerned about the timestamps.

Background: Daena enjoyed where she lived as the outskirts of the town were filled with animals and adventure, at least that's how she always viewed it. Growing up alone she became very independent and discovered her powers at random. At first she freaked out and cried about it, not sure how to turn back. It's then when she was afraid to go back to town that she ended up living in a cave. Her newfound instincts helped her survive, and only until she was sure she could control it, did she return to civilization. Whenever somebody questioned her about where she had been, all she said was that she took a journey so as to get them off her back. She isn't aware if anyone else has powers like her, nor does she want to go to the Protectorate station to find out.

Background: Raised in a well-to-do home, Baleno enjoys the finer things in life, so he prefers exquisite over standard. His powers were discovered at age 15 when he was running as a warm-up for his sports team. His feet began to spark and before he knew it, he was skyrocketing across the track. He got hurt as a result because he couldn't control it. Little by little he became aware of the kinds of powers he had and because he had this ability, he wasn't allowed to participate in sports. Angry because he felt it was unfair, he then turned his focus to harnessing this power. It made him cocky and he became a show-off, attracting attention from other people, watching him in awe. He had accumulated too much electricity at one point that for him to be in such a populated urban area was dangerous. Because of this, he was sent off to work at the Power Plant, of course, being a valuable energy source. He felt his talents were wasted doing something so boring, but whenever he tried to help people by stopping criminals, he went overboard and ended up putting a lot of them in the hospital with severe injuries. It isn't until Rhodia and her crew find him that they offer him a spot on the team, promising him to help harness that unstable energy.

Background: Found on the shore of one of the most beautiful Aqua Regions, she was raised by a lonely old father whose children had all left him. Bringing her up as his own, Sophia learned how to do menial tasks and skills acquired from him. One day as she was singing, she hit a high note and destroyed one wall of the house with her voice. Realizing what just happened, the old man tried to explain to her that she was one of the "gifted" people. She didn't know who to get help from so she freaked out because she couldn't control it in the beginning. When the old man died of age, she often sat on the rocks near the shore and sung sad songs. Being ostracized because she was nicknamed a siren for her voice and her appearance, she kept to herself on the shores, her home hidden away where nobody would be able to find her.

Background: The Heat Region where she grew up was brutal, and the timestamps didn't help out at all. The city itself was luxurious and exotic, but the rural areas surrounding it were sometimes in turmoil, full of thieves and murderers. Her parents were both potters and made wonderfully crafted ceramics that sold at a fair price. They lived a modest lifestyle in the city but were very strict with Abira and her older brother. She would often go to archeological sites, always inquisitive and asking the professors and archeologists about their findings or theories. She often read up on the history of her land as well as the world as a whole, but only books that were allowed within the timestamp. One day her brother went missing and she had no leads as to where or why. He had argued with their parents the night before. A few years had passed and as it turns out, the worst of her fears came true: he had become a criminal. Having been born with her psychic capabilities, she trained to enhance and sharpen them, all the while working to save up money in her traveling fund, locating her brother being the goal.

Background: He lives in one of the few Frost Regions of Neo Mundo. He grew up poor and married poor, but he and his wife always made it through. They had three children which he adored to death. When he wasn't working his shifts at the factory, he spent a lot of time with his family. A fortune teller had come to town and curious about the mystic, his wife went to go and get her fortune read. Dreadfully enough, the fortune wasn't good. Convinced that if they stood poor they'd all surely die, Nicolai's wife began to look for jobs that would bring them some extra income, no matter how seedy they were. A long while had passed and she kept this under her husband's nose, forcing the children not to tell their father or question when she brought home things that they could never afford. By the time Nicolai found out, it was too late. His wife had gotten into some serious trouble with the wrong kind of people, and working the night shift kept him away a lot. One could only imagine the devastation he felt when he came home to a bloody house. His wife was dead and his children missing. He asked all authorities and townsfolk about anything they might've known, but to no avail. He resorted to asking the fortune teller. She informed him she knew something about the murder and kidnapping, but wouldn't tell him unless she was given a hefty sum. Since then he's been working hard long hours to save up money to pay her and selling things he doesn't need, leaving him even poorer than before. It isn't until Rhodia's team shows up that his life takes a turn for the better.

The pressure of being domesticated upsets her, so on her off time she trains in the art of the sword, unknown to her relatives. She works as a waitress in a restaurant but longs to get out of the lifestyle, feeling like her talents are wasted on such a sedentary lifestyle. There's a secret she keeps hidden from both her parents and she doesn't plan on telling them or anyone else about it because she finds it shameful.

Background: Growing up modesty, he never cared about being rich or didn't even care if he and his father became poor. What he did care about was becoming part of the Protectorates, partly because he wanted to be famous. When it turned out that he was confirmed to not have a superpower, he became discouraged. It was then his father told him that he didn't need to have a special ability to join the law enforcers. He just had to be strong. Because of this, the boy trained since he was thirteen in practically every form of physical defense that was available to him. He stopped for a while after his father passed away, but keeping his words and encouragement in mind, he knew he was supporting him from above. When Rhodia's team happens to come to his area on another assignment, it's then he finds his chance and eventually convinces her to let him join after a bit of proof of his capabilities.

Background: Funny thing about Gertrude is that she was a humongous man-eating plant before. Evagreene raised her from a tiny seed for a few years. She acted much like a dog and was protective of the one she called "mother". When the botanist joined Rhodia's team, Gertrude was replanted onto the vessel and grew accustomed to the new atmosphere and having new friends. During a dangerous mission Gertrude intervened trying to save her "mother" but she ended up getting sliced in half. Evagreene was devastated. It wasn't until she herself was going to be killed by the opponent did the miraculous event happen, shocking the whole team. From the carapace of the plant form, Gertrude emerged as a human-sized fairy and stabbed the villainous offender from behind with her bare hand, ripping out his heart and consuming it. He died instantly. She soon became part of the team but everyone has to keep an eye on her as she doesn't like wearing clothes because she feels restricted. She pouts about it a lot. Thankfully she was conditioned by Evagreene rather quick to go on a diet of animal meat and fruits so she didn't try to consume other people.

Background: As a teenager she was kidnapped from her home to use in experimentation by scientists that worked for the Denizens. They were trying to devise various serums that would give people superpowers artificially. First they went with a simpler ability, which was animal physiology. Many of the test subjects died, but Autumn was one of the few who endured the pain and torture. The serum failed as she couldn't revert back to her original form. She stood stuck with the humanoid figure of a fox, the animal she was chosen to be experimented with. Trashed because she was a failure, she was sent off to be killed so there was no evidence, but she managed to escape using her wit. Of course, no matter where she went, she was ostracized for her appearance and hid in the woods. Whenever she needed to go to town to buy things, she'd wear a cloak and a mask. Thankfully that was normal attire.

Superpower: Bionic Physiology
Appearance: he is entirely a robot but constructed to look like his human self, even though he's a metallic gray.
Personality: somewhat timid, helpful, resourceful, hates water, innovative, likes colorful things
Background: He had gotten involved in a fight he knew he couldn't win, but he was protecting innocent bystanders from harm. When he was knocked unconscious, the next thing he knew he woke up in a laboratory. He frantically and angrily asked what his purpose for being there was, but none of the scientists answered him. They tried to make him an android, but before they could get the control chip completed, he lashed out and destroyed the entire lab out of his blind rage. The scientists escaped and he was left with metal in places he didn't like, open wounds, and a heavy heart. A mysterious cloaked person had found him just as he was about to die. Again he passed out, and when he awoke, he found himself in another robotic body, but it looked almost exactly like the body he had as a human. He didn't feel a heart beating or lungs, or even any organs at all. He's not sure how he's able to function in his body, but he never grows tired or hungry, and rarely sleeps. When Rhodia's team discovers him, it's when his life starts to change and he starts getting some answers.

Male. Age ?. Height 5'10". Turquoise hair, lime eyes.

Superpower: Alien Physiology
Appearance: grayish-blue skin, thick wild hair, has a tail that he can retract, antennae where his ears would be, has spots on his face and back that resemble freckles, humanoid shape otherwise, somewhat lanky
Personality: curious, intuitive, considerate, fascinated by a variety of things, doesn't know the meaning of personal space, clumsy, intelligent
Background: A resident of the vast Space Region, he came down to terrestrial surface of Neo Mundo because he was bored and wanted to learn more about the neighbors. Being an alien though doesn't get him many friends as his appearance is absurd, even for the world's standards where hair color other than black, brown, or blonde is normal. He was restricted to only venturing to the most technologically advanced regions of the world because the Capitol felt like people would accept him easier there. He wanted to be part of the terrestrial division of Neo Mundo, but no team would take him. Rhodia and her crew discovered him on one of their journeys and took him in, mostly because they thought it was cool he was an alien. He's still trying to get accustomed to being amongst humans and sometimes his naiveté can get on a few of their nerves.
Stimulant: none as he was born an alien.
Well, those are the hero characters I've created so far. Remember these are drafts because as you can tell some of their personalities should be better thought out and their backgrounds more distinguished. It's obvious which ones I took more time constructing, but this is a revision process that will go through many edits both in character depth and design. Actual story concepts are still in the works so I'll probably post those afterward.
