Sasha looked around curiously, her big brown eyes fascinated with the setting before her. The mall was rather huge with a wide range of patrons, and many at that. She made sure not to lose sight of her friend that led her around the place.

A directory was coming their way, the girl noticed. Tori stood in front of it and put her hands on her hips, staring at the map for a few seconds. She tapped her chin. "I dunno why they changed all the stores here. Makes it bothersome to remember where everything is."

"But you've been here lots of times right?"

"Well I've been spending alotta my time at Stark Tower so I haven't been to the mall in a few years. Kinda got tired of people staring at my chest, and not for the reason you think that sounds like," she ended with a smirk as her eyes continued to scan the contents of the lighted board in front of them.

The other girl nodded to herself, glancing just a bit at Tori's chest plate. She understood. Having a glowing mechanism right in front--blazing for everyone to see--probably wasn't the kind of attention she wanted. As cool as it was, knowing what it actually functioned for…well, that left a lot to be desired.

"Oh I just remembered. I need to go to the bookstore."

"What for?" Sasha asked as she followed Tori down the mall, up to the escalator.

"Cooking stuff."

"You cook?"

"Eh, sorta. I made a machine that does the cooking for me but that's kinda lazy. Mom wants me to actually learn how to do it myself without the use of a robot." She shrugged.

"I can teach you if you'd like."

"Thanks Sash, buuuuut I like to go at my own pace for things."

"Oh, well okay."

When they reached the bookstore, Tori inhaled deeply and sighed, giving a smile. "Man I miss that new book smell. It's great isn't it?"

"Yeah."

"Well I'm gonna look over there. Browse wherever you'd like, maybe in the manga section, which is over yonder." She pointed Sasha towards the right direction and then headed off on her own.

Sasha walked over to the manga section a bit chipper, looking at the selection of series they had in store. "Oh, I don't have much money to buy any of these… And we're always on the go. I won't be able to take them with me." She became a bit downcast. "Well, at least I can read them here! Hopefully Tori doesn't finish browsing too quickly."

She soon engrossed herself with the fictional world of magical girls and comedic romance, occasionally reading series of the shounen genre. "Mm, I think Tori would like this one!" she said to herself. "It's full of adventure and pirates! Ah, wonder where she is? This bookstore is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside!"

Taking a huge stack of volumes in her arms, she began walking around the bookstore looking for the Stark heiress. Then suddenly, something caught her eye. She turned her head to see a young man happily picking books left and right from the shelf in the history section.

He looked rather studious with spectacles adorning his face, his gray eyes scrolling through the paragraphs of an open book. He brushed back his short sandy blonde hair and smiled from time to time as he sampled the text in his hands. He was casually dressed and looked around to be in his early twenties from what the awestruck girl could tell.

The young man blinked and looked around for an employee of the store. His field of vision passed Sasha and the young lady squeaked. She tried to look occupied by swapping a rather bulky text of mythological fables for her manga, some of the volumes slipping to the floor. She pretended to look interested as her fingers gingerly swept through the book.

She began to panic when he approached her. Look smart, look smart! she kept chanting to herself. She managed to calm her expression before he got close enough to notice her in full.

"Excuse me miss?"

"Yes?"

"Do you work here?"

"Ah, no I don't."

"Oh I'm sorry. Ah ha, I thought you did because you were carrying all those books in your arms! I thought you might've been trying to put them away." He glanced at the volumes. "You read manga?" he asked somewhat curiously.

Ugh he's gonna think I'm a nerd! "N-No, they're for my friend! These were on her request list because…it's going to be her birthday soon! So I uh…wanted to give her a gift! Because…that's what friends do!"

He gave a chuckle. "Well now, what a nice friend you are! That's a lot of manga and I'm sure it's gonna add up to a lot. You must be real generous!"

"Ah ha ha, yup that's me!"

Noticing the large book in her hand, he asked, "Oh, what's this?"

"Erm…it's…" She turned it over to the cover. "A mythological book on the Norse pantheon!"

"Really? I love Norse mythology!"

"You…do?"

"Yeah! Mythology is quite interesting! Glad to see somebody else likes it too!"

"Oh, of course! Mythology is cool! I know a lot about it!" …or at least a decent amount. I'm still learning…

"Fantastic! Mind telling me what your favorite kind of mythology is?"

Crap. Uh… "…Haitian mythology?"

"Interesting! I don't know very much about Haitian mythology yet."

This was a spark of hope. "I-I-I can teach you if you'd like! Haiti is my home country so I'm pretty familiar with it."

"Sounds great!"

"Hey Sash."

Tori walked up next to her, two large books on fancy cuisine and another on dessert in her arms. She raised an eyebrow. "So who's the dork-"

"Ah your friend is-!" he began in awe. "You're friends with-!"

"Tori Stark, nice to meet you," she replied as she shook his hand. "And you are?"

"Isaac! Isaac Newton!"

"Pfft!" Tori gave a laugh. "No seriously, what's your name?"

"Ah ha, yeah that's the usual reaction I get from people… But really, that…that is my name."

"Mm, well at least it isn't Hitler."

"Ha ha, yeah."

"Sash, introduce yourself. It's rude not to."

"Oh uh…I'm Sasha! Sasha…ehm…Banner." It still sounded weird adding that surname.

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Miss Banner!"

"Y-You too Isaac!"

"And happy birthday Miss Stark!"

"What?"

"Miss Banner said it was your birthday today."

"No? My birthday is in May. It's June." Tori gave Sasha a knowing look, then noticed the misplaced manga volumes off to the side. "…but Sash has yet to get me a gift. Guess this is what she was gonna give me."

"I'm sorry Miss Banner. I let your secret slip…"

"N-No it's okay!"

"Well Sash, I'm gonna head on over to the register to pay for these. I'll see you there." She gave her a wink and then went on her merry way. Sasha tried not to blush.

Isaac looked at his cell phone. "Gah! I forgot I had to be somewhere in an hour! Oh man. Uh, well Miss Banner, I really would like to chat with you about Haitian myths but I must get going. I know!" He took out a spare piece of paper from his pocket and fished for a pen. Finding it, he quickly scribbled down his number. "Here you go. I'm usually free weekends. I'd like to tell you more information but I really must run! Oh the line looks too long… I'll have to buy these some other time." He hastily returned the books to their proper shelf.

"Uh, yeah that's okay!"

"Great! Well this is where I say farewell. Good day Miss Banner!" And with that, he darted out of the store.

Sasha stared at the piece of paper with all the digits intact. She was on cloud nine. "I…I actually got a guy's number!"

Tori walked over to her, the cook books now properly bagged. "So you gonna buy those or what?"

"Hmm?"

"The manga. Or are you too lovestruck to even care about that anymore?"

"I can buy manga anytime. I think…I think I'll buy this one." She showed her the large book on Norse mythology.

"Gee why dontcha just ask Thor? If you really wanna know about Norse mythology, ask the god of thunder himself!"

"Yeah but he only comes during special circumstances."

"True. Well still, it would've been a better experience to hear it straight from the horse's mouth." She grinned a bit and chuckled.

"What?"

"That phrase would've worked so well with Loki, but he's a bad guy and all so you can't exactly ask him."

"Why would've it been better with that guy?"

"Ah ha ha, don't you get it? The horse…ah… Yeah you probably don't know. S'kay though, I'll explain it on the way home. For now, just put back those volumes where you got 'em and I'll pay for the book."

"But Tori I couldn't-!"

"Hey, it's no big deal. Gotta brush up on your studies, y'know what I'm saying?" She pointed at the piece of paper in Sasha's hand. "I'll take care of this much. You just gotta read it." She winked again and walked to the register to purchase the book.

The other girl carefully folded the paper and placed it in her pocket, a light blush tinting her cheeks.

"Isaac huh? That's a nice name."

A/N: There you go Sashi, part one of three! I actually would be like this if I weren't so shy. Actually, I was like this when I was little. Man where did all that charisma go... Anyway, I had fun writing this and...yeah the guy's name. I dunno man. I was writing this at two in the morning. I really hope I got your character right though!
