weep
A friend of mine is doing a poll about language (isolating stuff like who says dinner vs supper, soda vs tonic, etc) and one question was "What do you call the parts of an egg?"
I answered "yolk, white, weep, shell", but when I looked at the other answers, nobody else called the membrane thing a weep. I bet this is another colloquialism I have from the yankee side or the eastern kentucky side. Has anybody else ever heard the word 'weep' for the membrane thingy?
