I know some people on here know more about cornbread than I do..  as in you have eaten it before !

I made some last night cos. well it seemed like a good idea and I wanted to try other options that might work better gluten free. I used this recipe and you can see a pic of it on my cooking blog.

It rose well, seemed very cakey, but most gluten free ( Read more... )

just had a quick nose at your blog. You're very good making things from recepies, I find recepies something hard to read as well as comics, I really NEED text to look a certain way ... I'm very much the make it up from something I've heard of style of cookery (a lot of crossed fingers and no small amount of burnt fingers are involved !).

I must re-learn to read as with websites and the like its actually becoming a problem for me, not being able to read text presented in certain formats.

One option I sometimes use is to copy and paste to a word processor and re-arrange so I can read it better.

I don't always follow recipes but at times it is necessary to learn how to do something. I suppose it works for me fairly well as I had to learn how to do things presisly as I studied science based subjects.

that's a good idea for some websites i need to look at. i might give it a try. I actually wonder if its the same part of my brain that makes me find computer games particularly irritating - too much going on in the visual field or something.

Quite possibly, some sites seem to think the more the better which is just not true. My pet hate is patterned backgrounds with text over them. There is just no call for that.. do they want you to be able to read it?

Oh talking of such things Suma has just brought out next months price list. They have a horrible bit in the newsletter part that has a snowflake background or something similar which makes the text unreadable. Might wait till the start of the month to do the order as there are a few new items I'm interested in unless you are desperate for stuff now.

waiting is fine, nothing needed urgently .... ooo and why I am remembering I was at the coffee morning at the church this morning and I mentioned about you wanting plastic bottles, they've offered to collect for you as they are fascinated by the idea. You still in need of plastic bottles then ?
