I made some last night cos. well it seemed like a good idea and I wanted to try other options that might work better gluten free. I used
this recipe and you can see a pic of it on
my cooking blog.
It rose well, seemed very cakey, but most gluten free stuff does, and was extremely sweet. I quite liked it but I didn't expect it to be so sweet. Is that normal?
There seem to be two types, well probably more than two but anyway one you cook in the oven, which is what I did and one you cook in a griddle. The second type tends to have buttermilk in them which I didn't had but would probably cut the sugar some.
