An Office/The X-files cross-over? Is there even Office fan fiction? (Runs off to check crack_van? Yes, it is a small fandom at LJ.

So how would you go about getting these characters into the same universe? Even if the characters of Jim and Mulder are similar, and I'm not saying they are, by the way, the universes these shows inhabit seem wildly different.

You would have to create an X-File for the FBI to investigate, taking place somewhere at or near the office, or one of the character's homes or hangs.

Cute icon.

I know of no one I could ask to write such a thing. tree only writes MSR, and now House/Cuddy, apparently. emily_shore writes a lot of different things but I don't know that she even considers herself in the fandom any more or that she likes The Office. inlaterdays only writes slash. Her OTP is Mulder/Krycek, so you see the problem there.

Maybe you need to write this one yourself. Sometimes it's the only way. I'll beta, or D can do it.

You must be watching Burn Notice. Me, too in about two and a half hours.

You are taking my idle chat far more seriously than it deserves, Wendy. I can live without Office/X-Files crossovers, though I must say that I see no problem with their creation. The X-Files is full of offices and, my God, M's sacred filing cabinet is full of paper. It could be hilarious. Remember Kel's "A Neurotic Need for Validation" with the paperwork competition ( ... )

I never watch the show myself. It drives me batty, for many of the reason you describe and more. I love tree's versions of the characters far more than the show's versions. This is true for a lot of fan fiction, don't you think? SGA is a good example. I can barely tolerate the show and the characters, in fact, I stopped watching mid-third season, I believe. But the best fan fiction story I have ever read, synecdochic's freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose was written in that fandom.

I am just going to ignore the working women wanting to have children as cliche rant.

I asked foxestacado about making you an icon and she said yes, just not real soon. She has about fifty requests ahead of you, for everything for original art, to headers, icons and even one musical composition. The woman is both multi-talented and daft. Keep looking, I am sure you will find another icon you like, in the meantime. I did find a few interesting icons for you from CBFR. I will upload them when I get a chance ( ... )

Did I ever say working women shouldn't have children? I never said that. *Dr. Cuddy* shouldn't have children.

Do you think Conundrum didn't sign on to lj again? And, I've been meaning to ask, should we inquire of others, like, for instance, Dee?

She signed on and then disappeared. She hasn't replied to either my post or my replies to her comments. Maybe I pissed her off somehow. I can do that.

I know nothing of Dr. Cuddy apart from her occasional appearance in tree's fic, so I probably misunderstood the whole paragraph.

Yes, yes, by all means. If you can find Dee, invite her. Does she have a journal? Invite mezmorized, too. Anyone you can contact that you think would make a contribution, get them over here. I am thinking about who from book_club would want to come. I will go back and look at the old posts. I am still thinking about starting it back up. Maybe the beginning of October.
