Owl
Neighbor: Hi. We're going out of town. Will you get our mail and newspaper and water our garden? BTW, there's a baby owl in our backyard. Make sure the magpies don't get him.

The owl is so cute, but I am freaking out. Before my neighbors left on their WEEK LONG trip, they called animal control and they said to leave the owl where it is, because the mother may be looking for it. It can't fly very well--only a few feet. It's 97 degrees outside and the poor dear is trying to sleep, because it's nocturnal. I'm trying like mad to keep the magpies and neighbor kids away from it. OMFG.
