I know nothing of the show, but since you've converted over, I got the first season from Netflix. I'll save the episodes off and watch them sometime soon. Have anything you want me to know going into it?
I really like this show. It's funny, though - my eldest thinks that the characters are boring and monotone and she just doesn't *get* that Reese isn't monotone; he's very controlled.
I want the machine to give them John Sheppard's number.
"He must be in that mountain somewhere, Mr. Reese!"
And oh my yes, what I love best about Reese is everything he tries to keep hidden. But God, his eyes when he's telling her he knows what it's like? His face when he told the girl in Masquerade "someone found me"? Younger folks perhaps don't have all the pain of experience to hear it in his voice or see it in his face...
Hee! Can you just see Reese nosing around the mountain? Maybe they would get the number when Atlantis is still trapped in San Francisco. The possibilities are endless...
And yes, Reese has those *eyes*! Talk about subtext with that whole thing where he was searching for Finch. Oi!
It's a lovely recap and I have to admit to having had my own Eureka moment about mobility vs. pain during season one when Finch was scuttling around rooftops, being "the repair guy," supporting Reese's bleeding body and kneeling, let's not forget the kneeling. :D
I swear the loft expanded since we first saw it though so perhaps the Doctor is lurking in another cupboard.
and you're right, the loft is gigantic, but I remember thinking that when I first saw it and it's gazillion towering windows...I'll have to go back and compare.
