I absolutely loved this so much. Your writing is so spare and impeccable it makes me shiver. The last moment with Castiel, when Dean likens his desire for Dean's happiness to Dean's own despairing eternal desire for Sam's happiness, just, oh god.
As always, this is brilliant. It makes me want to do really douchey things like shout FIRST!!!! because I'm the first commenter. I never ever get that desire.
But to hell with it.
FIRST!!!!

and oh dude, i'm so stoked my sister's writing again, i'm just as big a fan of hers and she's the one who dragged me into fandom anyway.
also, that offer for a birthday fic for you is still totally open! bigbang is over, i've moved, and the major life changes of the last month have settled down. so if you're interested, start thinking of some ideas! :D

OH. my god. really? really really? Okay -- well -- my standard prompt based on my own diehard h/c obsession is Dean, permanent mobility issues. But I don't know if you like writing that kind of stuff, and if not I will think of something else. Or if you want a few more words to go on.
Honestly, though, anything you write will be up my alley. It can be a half-birthday fic! *swoons*

an AU that explains why Dean had to drop out and get his GED based on the above prompt. (ie permanent mobility issues). I've actually been thinking about this in terms of Sam, and whether Dean getting seriously permanently hurt in high school would have changed his choice to go to Stanford. I have no answer, I wonder what yours would be.
If you want to do this that would be amazing, and if not, no worries! I am still your biggest fan outside of your family *g*
