Cuddy's back! And before all my fellow House-tards out there get confused, I mean my external- whatever program
daemonitellama used brought her back from the dead, although to what extent she was damaged remains to be seen. While she was being worked on, we watched one of the few things I had handy on one of the cottages- Baccano! She and
lichifruit enjoyed it, although they quite wanted to re-edit the main series to be in chronological order, which I understand, but part of the point of the series is that it's meant to be watched a certain way. At least they've seen it, and now we may move on to Gundam 00, or as we seem to be calling it, Cow Gundam. And now some rants:
Now, there was some character death in the latest Geass... I understood it, and it's going to make for some interesting developments down the line, especially if, as I seem to be hearing, this are to be the final 12 episodes of the series ever. But goddamn if there was one character that didn't deserve to die, if there was one person that had already had enough shit flung their way that it would be enough for them to deal with that through the course of the show... And then they've just got to go and do this. If nothing else, it was a profoundly emotional final scene for that person, and I'm praying to God, a la Eddie Brock, that the party responsible is struck down soon and violently.
Why does Rose have to be the only one that got two seasons? Given that all we'll see of Who until Spring of '10 is some specials, I get how it's easier to go this route... but friggin' hell, Donna was just so likable. I liked Martha enough, but Donna was the first one that really compared to Rose, and they've got to do one of the worst things they can do to the poor girl. Oh, well. At least Tennant's probably still on for Series 5, or so I'd like to hope, and the Cybermen will be back at xmas... Although, to touch on another Who-related thing that bugs me, I do wish they wouldn't limit themselves as far as villains go. I mean, here you have a show that broadcasted for 26-years straight with all manner of recurring baddies. And don't get me wrong, the Daleks are fucking awesome, but do we have to see so much of them when there's so much else we could be drawing from? With any luck, the new showrunner will answer my prayers in that vein. Although, honestly, I'll be happy if he can run the show as well as he writes the episodes he's done thus far.
The pics are ready to go, but there's 31 of them, so putting them up will likely take at least an hour, so that and the list of stuff bought tomorrow.
