First off, forgot to mention that I saw The Expendables. The flick is one unending spectacle, full of Narm and amazing action sequences and I loved every minute of it. Here's hoping when Schwarzenegger finishes up as our governor he comes back for the sequel.
And we're finally back for more music- Comic-Con and other things have kept me from finishing the current batch. With any luck, I can get through the next batch with more expedience:
Red Sparrowes make guitar rock songs that were meant for a film with epic battles on enormous CGI fields or castles with lots of slow-motion shots. It's also possible the songs on "The Fear Excruciating, But Therein Lies The Answer" were meant for getting high:
"A Hail of Bombs""Giving Birth to Imagined Saviors" Titus Andronicus made a very depressing indie rock album a few years ago. They went and made another one, but "The Monitor" has some very catchy singing and guitar-playing, unlike its predecessor:
"No Future Part Three: Escape From No Future""Four Score and Seven" Victor Berman's light, jazzy techno album, "Arriving At Night", is one of the more chill things I've listened to of late:
"View Of The Islands""Famous Discussion" Several things fixin' to occur this weekend, especially with my parents out of town. Notices as events warrant.
