We've seen the quilt filling the Twin Cities metrodome a couple times, and covering a large amount of field at another occasion. It was always such a mix of beauty and sadness, surprisingly powerful.

I saw it on the National Mall in the 90's, and remember finding one of Merritt Butrick's panels. So sad...
