Just saw that Harry Harrison died. The Stainless Steel Rat series has always been one of my favorites. Also loved "One Step From Earth" about the future history of teleportation. A great author who I greatly enjoy.

Comedian Alan Sues of "Laugh-In" fame dies at 85.Sad to see such an icon leave us, but happy he lived to a ripe old age. My sister called me last night and told me that one of my niece's classmates killed himself. He'd been depressed for some time, and although his family tried to get him help, it obviously wasn't enough.

Oh, and by the way? He was bullied in school for being gay.

Yeah.

I saw that Andrew Gold passed away, and one of his claims to fame was he wrote "Thank You For Being A Friend," the theme from The Golden Girls. Here's his other hit, that I've been playing over and over for some reason:
