Doctor Who
The War to End All Wars, by SnowballjaneA precisely characterised short story, with more of the feel of an episode than much 9th Doctor fiction. While the WW1 setting is a common one, here it's used to good effect in drawing parallels with the Doctor
Good Omens
It Came Upon A Midnight Clear, by DaegaerAziraphale & Crowley team up over the birth of an earlier supernatural being. Nicely in tune with canon, with precise details & some hilarious touches. All of Daegaer's writings in this fandom are worth reading, but this is my favourite so far
Lord of the Rings
The Still Point, by StultiloquentiaWhat does it mean to be mortal? This thoughtful take is well characterised and beautifully written, with a good balance between light & dark
Pirates of the Caribbean
Negotiations, by Marnie'Hell tossed like a ship in a quartering sea.' Marnie's gift for description is harnessed here to a plot with a twist or two, and there are nicely written cameos from assorted minor characters. This is the author's first turn at the helm of the Pearl and I think it shows in a slightly wobbly voice for Jack, but still well worth a try
